Your no longer the top dawg. The rewards from Salvage are not the long awaited AF2s of PUP, BLU and COR, but rather new gear sets, suable by all 18 jobs, that are better then NQ god gear, and some pieces better then HQ.

Yeah, I want me some of those Sollerets! I'm leveling WAR and DRK to Lv.75, so those are awesome.

And big Congrats to DRG for being able to wear them! DRG has gotten the short end of the Polearm on Atk gear, gives them another option. Well, provided these aren't too damn hard to get. Time to get to work on my AP now so I can have them once I hit the level.

From what I've seen, Most jobs are getting huge boosts, though I havn't compared all of the gear. As my current profession, BLM is kina meh on these, as all of the armor is moreover alternatives to the god gear we get, (Even NQ Weskit beats the body for us) and the crown and hands are slightly better then god gear(Crown better then HQ, gloves currently only better then NQ for BLM) and the slacks and feet have almost nothing BLMish, but oh well.

To get these armors, you need 3 pieces of "Cursed" armor as well as a meditial fee, 10-12 Imperial Gold Pieces and 12 rare items(Hands = Bloodwood Lumber, Body = Wootz Ingot, Head = Orrachlium Ingot, Legs = Wamoura Silk Cloth, Feet = Mardid Leather)

The prerquisites to fight assault is level about 65, a certain mission requirement(I'm on 13 and I couldn't get acess, the rumor mill is saying 16) and 2000 ASSAULT points(area doesn't matter, you can acess all areas with any assault points but NOT a combination, i.e you can't have 1000 in one area and 500 in two others, you need 2000 in any area)

these will still be a pain though and it will take some time

each piece seems to require a stack of craft materials plus 10 gold pieces

the prices of the craft items in question will go through the roof

On Asura, there are a total of 2 Orichalcum ingots on right now... at 200k each. So that's 2.4mil for a head piece -when- you get that amount of stuff collected.

It should be noted that some cursed gear will now be less expensive--I have no idea if it will impact ancient Beastcoins (I assume it will), but I doubt Ancient Currency will be affected b/c thus far no new cool weapons have been introduced with the possible exception of the Khimaira Jambiyah and it's Alchemical product, the Adder Jambiyah which I'm hoping are cool but can't see stats on since the DAT's have been altered and no one has even listed the Khimaira parts for sale at this time. I haven't seen any recipes from the other guilds yet, but I'm about to do some poking around.
