This was just too funny and I had to share my party experiance with you all
First off I should say that there was a rather nasty windstorm that day, nothing too bad, or so I thought at the time.....
So, after about 3 months, the quarter is finally over and I decide to go out and get an exp party for the first time in a rather long time. I pull out my lvl 20 sam, stick up my LFG flag, and start looking for a party. There aren't enough people to make a party LFG, so I decide to wait.
While I'm waiting, I'm talking with a friend. I mention that I'm LFG and no invites yet, and that there aren't any people to make a party with, and that I know when I decide to log I'll get a party.
Fast forward about an hour or two with a few failed solo attempts, getting drenched in pineapple juices and singed whiskers in failed synths, and running in confounding circles around people, I send a /tell to my friend:
Me: Hmmm, looks like no party tonight, allrighty then! I'm torn, I can either do the Venerer ring quest, or I can go play the new Zelda, what do you think I should do?
Chops: New Zelda > ring
Me: That's the direction I was leaning in Ok, I'm gonna log, night Chops =^.^=
Random person: Hey, do you want to join a party?
I thought that was great, exactly as the timeout timer hit 5 seconds, that person sent the /tell. So I go and join the party, and things are going well. It's a pretty good party, hunting worms and crabs and going really well. Since I used up my last charge on my exp ring, I recharged it and have another use so I'm ready for some serious exp.
15 minutes into the party, power goes out, about 2 minutes later it comes back up, great I think. I start logging back in, when the power goes out again.
2 days later, we have power again, 3 days later, the phonelines are back up.
For my first party in 3 months, I was just dying of laughter, I found the entire sequence of events too funny.
Sadly I don't think that party is still waiting for me to log back in
Makes me wonder what'll happen the next time I try to get a party. Will Mt. Rainer erupt? Will an asteroid the size of Texas hit the Earth? Find out next week!
