How long have you waited?

After camping out in Qulun dome, trying to get a Beadeaux coffer key to drop, for over 7 hours last night (and still no drop), it got me wondering how long everyone else has gone trying to get drops like these. My previous record was two 3 hr shifts in Davoi before getting a key to drop.
Anyone else had something like this happen?

I always get my keys fast, but sometimes when I helped a friend of mine it would take a really long time to get drops, I guess SE doesn't love all players the same.

30mins for coffer key in Beadeux with no TH, 1hour in crawlnest without TH Did it on my last char as 71thf for a few friends and I got 3 keys in a row from crawlnest lol.

Beadeaux is really random. But most the times I have bad experience with key drop rate there : /

You should try out side the dome tho. I don't know if the key can drop inside. Like Davoi, key won't drop in the room with ??? for genkai as far as I know.

Never had much problem with keys, no more then 2-3 hours, but Ruby took 4-5 days to drop a Testimony for me.

About 3 days on and off for a GC coffer key. Eventually I got a THF friend to come out with me and we got it on the second kill.

Well, atleast according to Wiki, the quadavs in the dome drop the key too.
I think it all evens out eventually, I prolly shouldn't have showed up for it, since I got my papyrus for G1 on the second kill and my key for GC in thirty minutes.
Kinda funny how you go through all sorts of attitude changes when hunting a key for 7 hours. First you get kinda irked, then after a cpl hours you're laughing at everything, then finally you're so tired and pissed you say nothing for 30 minutes at a time.
Mhurron, that sucks, we had like 4 while we were there, along with like 10+ rubies.

I spent a collective 15 hours looking for a Davoi Coffer Key a long time ago for a LS member who needed BLM AF.

I spent 5 hours a couple months ago trying unsuccessfully to get a Beadeaux Coffer Key to drop (and this was in a group of 5 level 75 players, with 3 of us using /THF subjobs - we were killing them as fast as they could spawn).

I spent a long time (4+ hours) in Oztroja trying to get my RDM AF coffer key.

Beastmen coffer keys are just a nightmare. I hate them muchly. Sometimes they drop fast... but usually not.

I knew a MNK who needed 3 separate alliances (each lasting for quite a while) over 2 days before he finally got his key. But then, that had more to do with his low lotting and the high number of other players who also needed the key. All told, he probably watched a dozen other players get a key first before he finally got his key.

I went with a friend down there to work off the latent of his club of trials, bell first mob, key second...

It took me about 7 hours if I remember correctly for my GC coffer key. It was already about 11pm, so I ended up staying till 6, finally getting my key. :x And then afterwards...it took me about a month, on and off trying to actually get to the chest. No friends would go with me, and finally a shout party of 3 BST's that needed to get far into GC helped me out with getting my chest. :x

Also, in CN, it took about 4 hours, with only me at MNK 50~ and a SAM 73 as tank. Needless to say, we had a lot of downtime and that's prolly what made it seem so long. And of course after we got the first key, we got 2 more when we were killing mobs looking for the chest. -_-

Five hours yesterday killing lizards in the Dangruf Wadi so that I can get a lizard egg. Still haven't got one, no matter how much stealing and killing.

I updated the wiki to show they're needed for Bastock Mission 2-2 on the actuall lizard egg page.

I have a ton of useless beastcoins though

When you need a coffer key, it won't drop... when you don't need the key, it drops at 1st kill...

That coffer key (PLD AF leg) was a nightmare for me too, 7 hours for key and then 2 hours for coffer. I passed out after I got the PLD AF pants
