Is there anything really worth stealing though? In my experience most things that can be stolen are fairly worthless, at best being beastcoins.

Silver Beastcoins are currently 10k a stack on Garuda. When hunting necklaces for Norg fame I kept stealing these and it allowed me to make some extra gil while I was tied up hunting Yagado for fame.
The Gold Beastcoins are supposed to be good money, but you need to be a high level thief. When hunting bee's for chips I'll steal honey from them which is an extra 5-6k per stack and the chips that I'm there for at 10k/stack chips 5k/stack honey.

It just comes down to knowing what your trying to steal from gauging how ofen they drop when you need and if this particular mob is worth robbing. Mug On the other hand I will conceed is worthless unless your hunting a high level nm. extra 50 gil on a 15 minute timer lol.

I think it would be a lot more worth it if they made it so we could honestly steal armor, or a weapon, or even potions. (hell, they could make it like FF12 and let us steal some loot that is valuable when sold to NPC's) Something alittle more than the basic low end item. This is the only FF where steal in my opinion is worthless.

I wouldn't say its worthless, just not nearly as useful as it is in other FF games, and with good reason. There is no secret way of making ungodly amounts of money quickly and regularly. The few things that come anywhere close to exceptions are the few semi-HNM's that are soloable by certain jobs (Amemet if you can actually claim him, Serket, and Amikiri). Otherwise you do it in a party or alliance, and the money is either split amongst all those involved, or its lotted and one person is lucky enough to get a high priced item and everyone else gets squat. And if you are the lucky person to get the lot, then your odds of doing it again anytime soon just went kaput. TH1 and even moreso TH2 are great, but if you're using TH2, then you're THF main and that means you have a lot fewer options on soloable hi-lvl mobs.

Anyway, I'm rambling. Steal isn't anywhere near as incredible as it has been in previous FF games, but its also not worthless. Its so-so at low levels, but once you get to higher lvl's and can xp or farm on higher lvl beastmen, then stacks of gold beastcoins still go for pretty nice gil.
