  • Couple more questions

    Hi all

Getting a bit further into the game now, 31RDM/15BLM doing SMN quest.

Anyhoo, just a few quick questions.

How exactly does Outpost Warping work?

I have done the supplies quest to a few outposts. So now what? Can I warp from one outpost to another? WHat are the requirements, etc?

    Spell Question:

Is the -ga spell stronger than the normal spell if used against only 1 mob? I.E Casting Stone onto 1 Mob vs Casting Stonega onto 1 mob

    Re: Couple more questions

There are outpost warpers in, I believe, just the starting cities. You can warp to an outpost you did the supplies quest for there.

        Re: Couple more questions

        Yep.

Windy: Rottata, by the Fishing Guild.
Bastok: Guy by the Smithing Guild, I forget his name.
        Sandy: I forget.
        Jeuno/WG don't have one.

I'd advise you to do as many as you can, they become invaluable later on. Especially if you can manage to grab hold of Saruta/Gusty/Ronfaure... just be advised, if you change allegiance to another nation, you lose the warps you've done for ever.

EDIT: Only requirement for OP warping is level (20 for Valkurm, for example) and gil. You can also warp home from outposts you've done the quest for as long as they're not beastmen controlled.

Outpost warps cost different amounts of gil, depending on who's in control (cheaper if it's your nation) and what zone it is (Altepa is more expensive than Ronfaure, for example).

        ----

-ga spells are roughly the same strength as the next tier spell (stonega = stone 2) but are more MP and more dangerous.

That's why Thunder IV is used when targeting 1 mob, and Thundaga III is used for multiple mobs (well, most of the time). Don't put your aga spells next to your standard spells... because... sometimes you'll hit the wrong macro and people will hate you for it :D

            One more question...

I have been told that Home City Fame and Jeuno Fame are the same. But I am Fame 2/3 (cant remember) in Sandy but its reporting only Fame 1 in Jeuno???

              Re: Couple more questions

Well jeuno fame is connected to all the other citys because "all roads lead to jeuno" so id asume if you had hero fame in one city and none in the rest you would have a third of the total fame in jeuno.

                Re: Couple more questions

Ok, just checked and I have indeed got Fame 2 in San doria and Fame 3 in Windurst.

I thought it was just the same as your starting city, nvm, Im going to work on fame after I get Rank 3 and lvl'ed SMN up a bit anyways.

                Thanks
