I just bought this out of curiosity on the shock spikes, it was around 20k only. I havent had seen the Shock Spikes effect yet though. When does it work?

That's for the latent not for the Shock Spikes effect. I personally never used it so I can't say how often it triggers.

There's a Galka MNK in my LS that likes to tank and level his Guard skill. He uses this for the Counter, and Spikes seem to proc about 5% of the time. It seems quite rare actually. He likes it more for the Counter to add to all his Counter gear, and since he's taking damage, his HP is generally in range for it to fire off.
