From a Nin/war or Nin/blm perspective...what is the most effective way to beat Under Observation? and can it be duoed with 2 Nin/blm and Nin/Rdm?

I thought it was suppose to be 2x NIN/BLM and a BLM or RDM for the fight. Maybe I heard wrong.

Edit: Only because a NIN/RDM can't kite since Gravity is going to be resisted ... better off with a RDM/NIN instead

at 40, /blm isnt really anything great. you cant equip staves, and the int gear you can wear isnt really all that great. you'd be better off /war and gearing evasion gear to help you solo tank the 2 lesser eyes. provoke is handy if things go wrong, as well as the added hp.

i usually do this bc with 2 nin/war and 1 rdm. never had any issues with this bcnm.

I've done this one 6 times, each time it was BST/WHM x2 and myself as RDM/BLM. Each fight was pretty simple, just really long due to Pet tanking. However there were times when I'd get hit by Breakga, and be stuck for some time - all while getting beat on! Had a few close calls.

The way all these fights went, I can't imagine a duo set up that would be sure fire, but anything's possible. Either way I would always go in with a 3 man team to make sure we didn't waste an orb.

This is why my friend and I are leveling BST too. I know the BC30 (3man) ones ... a few a group of BSTs can do with ease. I think even as early as BC20 (The 3 bat ones) is the earliest you'll see BSTs shine in.

I did this with Nin/war, Nin/whm (I think, to help with some curing if needed), and a Smn/whm as the kiter. Super easy.

Heck the Wings of Fury one can actually be solo or duo'd as SMN(s). But 2 BST/WHM and a WHM are awesome for this one! It's one of the reasons I also took up BST too.

                Re: Calling all Ninjas

3BSTs is the easiest way to do this... but if you want to use other jobs out of all the jobs in the game I'd say RDM is most useful if it's not a 3BST setup.

BLU can do well here too just about as good (better if they know what they're doing, and can time headbutt well) as NIN. I know people that have gone to this on MNK and pulled out a win. I'll have to ask the strategy on that run since I don't know the logistics of that but I think just about any job can fit somewhere in here if you try hard enough. So as a NIN/anything you oughta be good.

NIN/BLM NIN/WHM and RDM/NIN(or /BLU, Cocoon/Stoneskin lets you stand up to the eye for awhile if you get bound, of course you won't be able to cast Cocoon if you're petrified so /NIN may be the better option even though I've seen it done both ways) is the best non-BSTx3 setup I've seen.

Moved to NM QA since it's really talking about a specific BCNM.

I think for this BC you really need 3 people. There's probably some obscure and risky tactic you can use with 2 people, but it's ever so much easier with 3.

EDIT: Aside to Aeni. Under Observation is level 40 cap, so a NIN/RDM doesn't even have access to Gravity - it's a level 21 RDM spell.
