  • Has it always been this slow?

Sorry to have to show my true newb colors, but when they released CoP how often did the new missions come out? Was it as slow as ToAU missions have been? How often did they unlock new areas in the game?

And the main reason why I posted it here: Were the new areas as useless for a time as some of the ones in ToAU currently are?

(Sorry, I've only been playing for a little over a year now.)

I think CoP missions were as slow or maybe slower than Aht Urgan missions, and many areas still remain sort of useless outside the mission themselves.

However with the sheer amount of stuff I had left to do before even thinking about CoP (which I haven't even finished yet) I didn't really notice the time it took between one update and the next.

New areas and such for CoP basically spanned over 1 year for the entire thing to be completly unlocked. About every update or every other update a new area or mission was generally released.

Just out of curiosity, which of the ToAU areas would you consider 'useless' currently?

I think they have done a decent job with the updates so far. Along with the ToAU-specific content, there has been some major amounts of in-game content added.

I think the issue lies more with CoP then ToAU. CoP is a marathon. Every mission and BC you make it through in CoP seems like such a momentous event. The ToAU missions as they stand now, while great in their own right, have a lot to live up to.

I compare the current ToAU mission line to that of Zilart. The only major difference so far is that we gained access to most of the new areas immediately instead of more then halfway through like in the ZMs.

I think the guys when he stated useless areas was addressing CoP. Due to largely what you just said that most of the areas aren't accessible till about halfway through the ZMs.

Well... in particular, right now the Hazhalm Testing Grounds are just sorta... there, as well as most of the Alzadaal Undersea Ruins areas. There aren't any mobs, and the BC really isn't functional at all right now. I KNOW they're going to do SOMETHING with Hazhalm SOON (they mentioned the place in some of the newer missions,) but just what, who knows...?
