drop rate adjustment on misareaux birds

Did Square eliminate giant bird plumes and giant bird feathers with the Diatrymas in Misareaux Coast with the recent October version update?

I farmed for over 2-3 hours and the only thing ive recieved was Diatryma Meat for the Kurrea NM pop item.

Considering they used to be RMT camped on Pandy, maybe.

But I doubt it, because they were the only really reliable source of them in the game.

Maybe you just got amazingly unlucky.

I thought they were changed a while back in an update?

AS far as the most reliable source, that still remains Perytons in Valley of Sorrows. Those are rather difficult to farm without a group, however (usually it's HNMLSs that are camping Adamantoise/Aspidochelone that kill them).

Im a SMN75 so it may be doable to duo them with another mage.

Or you can be even more crazy like a MNK friend and farm the ... other big bird (Exp birds for 70s) No, he didn't solo them. He did duo with a WHM.

Well if you need a group to farm them now from mobs in Valley of Sorrows that will just work to the RMTs advantage. Less ppl can now farm them so they can raise prices higher and higher.

When did they change this? When they added the useless meat?

It really felt like the drop rate was worse than before when I tried it for the first time in a long, long time.

I have got the Bird Feathers/Plumes while meat has been dropping before and my mate was farming them last month so it must be a recent thing?

I might have to try this sometime - leveling NPC there, I made a truck load of gil... it'd be a shame if they removed the drops from t'birdies.
