If it's crowded, you may want to come back later. Crowds can make it very difficult and frustrating to try to stay behind a turning witch. Keep in mind the event will be going for weeks, and the only part you need a partner for is the pitchforks, not the exorcisms.
If you *are* going to try to do it while it's crowded, I recommend at least 5-6 types of treats so you don't get insanely frustrated. Ginger cookies, acorn cookies, cinna-cookies, goblin and bubble chocolates and melon pies all work, I assume other pies would too. Cookies are the cheapest, but with crowds, it may take several hours to get both hats with just cookies - and it will *definitely* take quite a few hours to get all the pumpkin/horror heads and trick/treat staffs, if you don't have them already.
