Just wondering what do they do and where can you find them.

Someone mentioned in linkshell chat that they're somewhere in Mamook (at the very least) and are quite nasty spellcasters. Breakga (AoE Petrify), Death... couple other nasty effects that I don't recall offhand... oh, and they're apparently True sight like Soulflayers too.

Definitely not something to go observe on a sightseeing trip.

From the screens I have seen they charm you and turn you into a frog.

Frog Song and Magic Hammer. I think S-E just wanted an excuse to add classic FF monster skills to the game XD. I want to fight one though, you keep all your buffs while charmed and "toaded" so you can become a frog of doom! They also have one of the best dying animations in the game.
