Update On The Smn Job. When Is It?

Does anyone know if the new update on the smn job is out yet? Click Here
I know there was a small update nearly just over a week back, and judging by how quickly the update went by on my game, I assume it wasn't a big update though.
But was it for the update on the smn job though?
After I had my game updated, I went into my mog house to change to my smn to see if I got the "Blood Pact pet command" in a different place to where it would normally be, (I maybe just a bit confused when they say "it will be used as a main way of doing battle") and I didn't really notice any changes at all! *sigh!*
I believe there's a bit of a change to the summoning magic skill too, which sounds quite useful indeed!
Anyhow, that's all I wanted to ask really, since I haven't noticed a change as yet.

No, they still haven't announced a date for the "mid-October" update.

If it's still on schedule it would pretty much have to be within the next week, after that you couldn't really call it mid-October anymore. But of course it might be delayed.

The fact that it will most likely include the Halloween event implies that they'll try to get it out before Halloween, though.

I haven't done the halloween event before either, so it'll be interesting if I can check out details on how to do that.

Actually, since the halloween event is now announced to start on the 19th, it would logically have to come before then. The event can't start until players have the .dats necessary to see the event npcs, dialogue, monsters (if any) and event reward gear (there usually is some).

Unless they do a small update just for the event and delay the content + job adjustments, but there's no indication yet that they are planning anything like that.
