This was an interesting day. Two differents parties and the tank was weird in both cases.
Here I am, starting the day as a WHM 32.
LOLNIN :
Thief invited me to a party in Garlaige Citadel. We had two Ninjas in the party. I thought this would go smoothly. No AoE, no double attacks, shadows would stick well. Nuh uh.
I realized after a while that one of the ninjas was being odd. For a party with two ninjas, I usre was burning my MP on healing alot. 350+ MP healing here. Per fight. No chains.
I checked the log, only to see that the first Ninja (supposely first voker) wasn't using Utsusemi for a few fights. So I asked. No, he still had tools. Already something odd.
The Thief and him were friends apparently, as I learned later. The Thief leader was being odd as well. Telling us to stand near the back wall. I had to point him that if we did, they would be out of range for healing. I chalked that to inattention.
A few fights after the Utsusemi, I noticed that he wasn't voking this time, so I spent my MP healing the other Ninja that tried to do his job the best he could. I was told that the Ninja 'is new at the job" by the thief. New at level 33. Account buyer?
The thief was also riling the GOOD ninja to line up for SATA, despite my saying about messing the hate control that the bad ninja could work with anyway. Read, telling the Ninja actually tanking to get behind the mob for SATA.
The RDM meanwhile, while not as intellectually challenged, kept saying that the mages were too close to the mob. I told him it doesn't matter, no AoE. "But you're getting hate." Oh, so standing NEAR the mob creates hate, not the 350+ MP in healing.
Not to mention that I actually pulled hate quite a few times with Regen, Protect and Shell. Anyway, in the last fight, BLM got killed. Leader says "BLM died while you were typing" (Because he pulled while I was trying to ask what's wrong with the ninja tank). I answered that he died because the tank wasn't doing his job, that I shouldn't even be healing the BLM at all, because the BLM shouldn't be getting hit in the first place.
I disbanded after raising the BLM, who disbanded along with the good Ninja shortly after.
LOLPLD :
Static started, I at least got enough exp to catch up in the first bad party, so I just waited around for it to start. We are 3 static for the moment, so we pick up 3.
PLD level 32, without Eisen, wearing Centurion. Alright. I see why I'm healing so much. Clearly missing some defense there. But otherwise holding hate well, so I let it slip. I got a RDM with me, and the PLD knows how to cure.
But that's not the worse here. PLD was using a Great Sword. Uhm, okay. We ask why, says for skilling in previous party. I don't get it. Either way, we ask for a switch. She got a sword, but no shield. RDM lend his Aspis (geez) for a bit of help at the very least. PLD says she usually has a polearm. Wait, pLD with polearm? Whatever.
A few bad pulls, that happens, but we're steadily going on exp at least. Level 35, PLD learns Cover.
Me................................Mob...PLD
PLD uses Cover on me. Twice. Someone clearly never read about how Cover works. I'm a PLD and I knew how that worked well before I learned it. So what gives?

Just to say, a bad tank is a bad tank, no matter what fricking job you play. Its not about playing Ninja or Paladin -.-
