The only way you can get to 75 by 4 months, playing 5-8 hours a day, especially on a job like Ninja (or any of the melee jobs), is the illegitimate way. It is highly improbable that it is enough time to party for XP and farm for Gil. Besides, more likely than not, you'd be pretty burnt out by the end of the 4th month. Play to enjoy the game.

Even the RMT that practically have static set party + PL, and wearing uber gimp gear takes about 3 months+ to get to 75. (And a lot of the new batch of Bastokan Rank 1 RMT's are currently stuck at Genkai 2.)

This is true. Unless you buy gil from RMT vendors and/or purchase gear online via eBay, you will not be able to take any job to 75 in 3-4 months. Well, maybe you can slide with being a BRD. /flameretardantsuit

WoW is about how fast you can level somthing...I saw someone who said that getting lvl 60 in WoW was akin to getting lvl 20 in FFXI. The game is very team based(unlike WoW where you can get away with never partying) so after about lvl 10-15 you'll always need a party. Also there are missions with intresting storylines. The jobs you mentioned above have to be unlocked after you get your fist job to lvl 30. I'd reccomend you start as the sub for that job: Ninja nd Dragoon usually sub Warrrior(starting job) and Summoner usually sub White Mage(starting job)

As stated by others before me, this game is VERY team oriented, if your not someone who likes playing solo, then this isn't a game for you.

The game also requires alot of dedication in terms of playing time, as it will take a long time for you to lvl a job, complete quests and missions, and earning money to buy items/equipment.

To sum it all up, this is a very hardcore MMORPG, unlike WoW this game is very hard and requires a lot of work, however the payoff is alot more rewarding in terms of end game content and such.

Ive just taken mnk to 65 in about a month and I dont get to play 5-8hours a day. True ninja is more expensive than mnk but if I just went gimped on equip I would have more than enough money to buy tools for ninja 1-75. I dont buy gil and I had no money left over from Tipsy because I gave it all away. One of my mates gave me 100k but thats not exactly alot. One person I lved with who was doing the same as me war to 37 then mnk to 75 hit 75 mnk 1 week ago which means she got to 75 in 3 weeks.

True neither me or this other person are new to the game but with 5-8hours a day it wont be that hard to get 75 in 4months or less.
