No, that's just an ad. It's called contextual advertising. If you want to look things up without those ads (good luck) you can try the FFXI Wiki.

Buying gil isn't illegal or a third party tool...it's just a little sad, and that kinda depends on your general opinion on the matter. Most people though seem to think trading real money...for gil, is a little sad, and I couldn't ever spend money I have to work for for gil, that would mean XI officially took over my life. @_@

Thanks to Roguewolf for the sig. :D

Yeah somepage does advertise for gilsellers. Not sure of the level of affiliation there, since those particular ads don't seem to be supplied by a firm like the ones on the side are. If that bothers you you can use another resource like ffxiclopedia or mysterytour. There's a sticky thread at the top of this forum with links to tons of great resources. I generally stick to somepage since their information is organized and referenced better, imo.

There are too many stories about players getting banned when they show up around RMT hunting grounds. One reason I try to stay away from those NMs. These stories are not new, there's no reason to risk yourself.

Either that, or the whole stories are made up by RMT to cut down competitors.

Doesn't matter, I just stay away from them...

transform a yellow spot into the sun.

I've camped against them and I've seen their works first hand. I really want to doubt that when you call a GM they would scan you before they scan the sellers, or that they don't even bother with the sellers.

There's two kinds of sellers SE can ban, the cow accounts and the camper accounts. It seems like banning either one will relieve some stress on the game, but banning the campers really only relieves stress on the camps they dominate. Banning the cow accounts helps the economy for everybody.

I wish the answer wasn't so obvious to everybody but them.
