Re: About Action Taken Against Third-Party Tool Users

Its kinda hard to acess your PoL E-mail when your account is suspended, so I got it in my main e-mail.

Not all RMTs would need to warp hack or bot claim to do what they do. Some people just don't understand that the scope of RMTs is wider than just HNM camps and that they're not all just a bunch of chinese people working for a bowl of rice. They come from all territories, some could even be your best in-game buddies and not have to cheat to do what they do. They're just smart enough to not talk about it.

Also, remember DNAS is a means to detect and screen out third party software. But it doesn't screen players out if it isn't told what to screen them out for. Its possible SE could have a DNAS record of a scan of 3rd party software in your system from months ago and do a retroactive ban based on that.

Why are the notoriious RMT still there? Likely because they're either not using these tools or they're using tools SE and Sony aren't able to tell DNAS to look for yet.

Or they're normal, legit players and you're just paranoid. That's a possibility as well. I've seen HNM shells just plain freak out about another HNMLS camping against them and call them RMT when it was just a newer HNMLS.

According to some ppl from the last 2000 accounts banned, they say SE doesnt count the weekend as part of the "72 hours", So im guessing suspened accounts will be able to return Sep 5th, after Labor Day. Again SE is so unorganized to be a multi-million dollar company, So who knows "Procedures" may have changed this time around. I'm guessing no later then Tuesday everyone will be back to the FFXI grind.^^

Re: About Action Taken Against Third-Party Tool Users

I just got back on FFXI this morning. It appears that the weekend DOES count as part of the 3 days, but the day you where suspended DOES NOT count. So it's really a 4-day suspention...
EDIT: In case I wasn't clear, your suspention "starts" at the next JP midnight, even though you can't log in from your server. after it starts, you need to wait 72 hours before logging in again.

RMT are smart about not being caught. From what I heard, many of them don't use any obvious claiming tools at all. I've actually followed some gilsellers in SSG, they just run normally from the entrance to their NM spots.

No. Everything in the game isn't too hard. If the game is too hard, maybe it's just not the game for you.

That's why you buy armor from NPCs instead of the AH at early levels. Problem solved!

Also, that's why communities like this one exist.^^
