Re: Is it time for me to go?
*Hic* Y-you guys, you g-guyz *hic!* 're th'greatest... I LOVE YEEEEEW GUYZ!
To the Original Poster, a break seems the best thing for you, like everyone else said. If you have absolutely no purpose when logging on, try doing other things, like:
1. Play other games, if gaming's a major hobby of yours. Not other MMORPGs, however, those will probably burn you out further, and we're trying to avoid that.
2. Watch movies / Go out and see movies with friends. My real-life friend who I play FFXI with came over the other day, and we went out and saw Talladega Nights. It was refreshing to get out of the house ^^
3. Pursue other hobbies. Do you like to draw, read? Pursue those interests.
4. Hang out with friends. Sometimes, a /tell conversation just won't do it. If contact with other people starts to feel like a foreign thing to you, it would probably help to be in more social situations (I speak from experience here... don't become a hermit)
5. Go 'unplugged.' Games, while they don't seem like it, use up a lot of mental energy when you play. If one plays for extended periods, they can feel exhausted in the mind. Exhaustion and Stress go hand in hand. So for a few days, maybe try to play less games, or no games at all, and give your mind some rest ^^
I've burned myself out a few times playing FFXI, and many other games, but taking a break from anywhere from a few days to a week to a month helped me recover. So really, all this wordy post really is saying is:
I agree, take a break, cancel your CONTENT ID'S ONLY if you want to save your monthly payments, and try to think about other stuff. If your desire to play comes back, reactivate them. If your enjoyment does not return, you can make the decision to quit then.
