meh, i didn't want to say anything but. My favorite thing about FFXI is the story. I also said in another topic of a totally different topic(haha) that in my opinion this game has the best story of any of the recent FF's since Tactics for playstation. Other then that I don't know what I like about it.

Same, the thing that matters most for me in any game is the story, followed really close by the gameplay, and FF has never dissapointed me in both aspects (not counting IX, the characters just didn't do the trick for me, still a good game to play though ).

All of the wonderful friends I've made over the years is my favorite thing. Without them I'd have gotten bored long ago and moved onto some other game. Wow, I sound really lame.

I like alot of things about FFXI, the story line, the friends i have made, crafting, its just a good escape from life when you need it.

First for me would be (again) the story, mainly CoP. It was a strugle to get through but now when a BC says there are 3 mobs vs. 6 people I just say "ohhh, I'v fought harder. Give me a real challange." It also taught me how to play my job (RDM/whatever) better then anything else in the game (aside from doing some of the crazy shit Avesta does).

Second would be the friends. Even though my friends are in 2 or 3 different LSs I still find that they are there when ever I want to chat or to help me with whatever I'm doing.

I can't remember how many times the awesomeness of the login music has prevented me from playing the game (listening to it makes me lose track of time), it's just so damn good!

the ROZ intro theme, Rolanberry, Mhaura, Ronfaure, Zitah themes......
Carpanter's Landing, Zitah, Ronfaure zones.....
and of course, the storylines.....
