Most of those gil sellers are probably poor Chinese farmers who went to a major city to look for a job and a wife (since there are very few girls on the countryside). I saw this documentary on TV the other day about this kind of people and most of them got awful jobs at construction sites. RMT must look like a pretty sweet deal compared to working 12 hours a day at some dirty construction site for $0.5/h.
