As a bonus, they regularly sell for 1000 gil at the AH. Not bad for such a versatile item, but who in their right mind would sell them on the AH when you can trade them for more pebbles!
The only problem with them is that you have to wait one whole hour to get your stack of just 12 pebbles--that's not nearly fast enough... on the plus side, they hold 24 stacks and you don't actually need any pebbles to make one, so there's no chance of you burning up your precious pebbles on a synthing bid for more pebbles. All you need is three Sheep Leather, some Bronze Scales, a Rabbit Hide, and 2 Igneous Rocks. You can even make the leather and scales yourself!.
[HINT] Igneous Rock can be acquired as a rare item from Clamming! or from some Bugbears or mining in the Oldton and Newton Molvapoli) and various higher-level worms (Flesh Eater/Glacier Eater). A perilous journey through partied goblinoid headquarters is a small price to pay for 288 Pebbles don't you think?

Hmmm... but what do you do when your Inventory, Stash, Storage, and Mog Locker are all full of pebbles and you've already completed all of your storage quests and Gobbie Bags?
Mission accomplished?
I can die happy now?
Quit FFXI, nothing else to do?

They have to quiver pebbles. Belt or no belt. We complained enough to get nearly all the arrows and bolts quivered. By george we can do it with pebbles too.
Write SE. Write GM's. Crap, write your local congressman. They have to listen to us!
Btw, this post is great. Reminded me of Gamefaq's faq's. I went back the other day and read the Ranger faq that got me interested in this game years ago. (I know, I know.) Amazing how terrible it really was.
Also, really would have expected this kind of thread from DRG's a year or so ago when they originally were added to the list of jobs that can use pebbles.

Man, I love pebbles and all, but this shit is just stupid. I mean, I don't care if RMT get into sky and HNM and crap. But SE allowing RMT to get into pebbles is just to much. The fact that you can get away with this crap (see the screenshots, if you havn't already) just hurts the Pebble community!
EDIT: You can tell I'm a pebble fan in the screenies, too! Check it, pebble soup webpage on another tab! Now thats devotion!
EDIT again: God, they can't even spell. You'd think RMT would at least try to be professional
I approve of this thread. Like all of you, I find that any change that improves FFXI gameplay involving Pebbles is a wonderful idea!
I also approve of fighting gobs and monkeys (or any other mob, really) with Pebbles.
Yay for Pebbles!
Note, however, that I do not approve of Pebble Soup, nor do I appreciate the suggestion that Pebbles should be quivered.
When my birthday came around, I asked my hubby for only one thing: Pebbles. The stupid jerk had the nerve to send 12 roses, 12 bubble chocolates and 200k to my MH instead of the beautiful stacks of pebbles I've had my eye on. What woman wants roses, chocolates and gil for their birthdays when they can have pebbles? I got him back though, I spent the 200k on stacks of pebbles then used his roses and chocolates for target practice.
My friend was a 33 DRG at the time of this event. I was a 30 WAR. We were farming greens off flies in Meri (Yes, they were BIG ASS money makers back in the day ) and he remembered he had a pebble in his inventory.
0 throwing skill. We found a Boggart. I said, with 0 skills, you couldn't hit the broadside of the barn. To which he replied, well, we'll just have to see, won't we?
200+ dmg, critical hit, on that Boggart. Needless to say, I was very VERY impressed.
