I'm not sure, but I don't think you're supposed to request game keys of any kind in forums...

You get the 30 day trial when you buy the game and first set it up.

I believe Articie is talking about a "Buddy Pass" that comes with the game. It is a separate game key that you can give to a friend so that they can download and subsequently play FFXI without purchasing it as a "Trial".

I started FFXI on a Buddy Pass of sorts that I got for purchasing a game controller. You can't actually play FFXI well on it because it doesn't include RoZ, CoP, or ToAU, so it's very limited (e.g. you can't go to Kazham to level). You'd end up having to buy the game anyway in order to get full function since you receive a notice that "some features may not work correctly without RoZ installed". RoZ was, I believe, included in the original NA release and pre-RoZ is no longer fully supported by SE.
