Seeking Game Masters: French/English and German/English Speakers(07/30/2006)

Have you ever wanted to work for a cutting-edge entertainment company or wanted to be a Game Master to assist MMO players with in-game issues? Now is your chance! Square Enix Inc. is looking to hire some FINAL FANTASY XI players to provide Game Master support for our North American, British, French and German players. We are looking for candidates who are fluent in English/French or English/German.

To qualify for the position, you MUST be fluent (both written and verbal) in either French or German, live in the Los Angeles region, and have customer service experience and a love of video games. If this is because of the new French/German versions, the working hours probably won't be very pleasent.

Depends. If I was working third shift consistently, I'd just sleep during different hours than usual. So I'd still be getting 8 hours of sleep, and working for however many hours I usually worked. I'd just be out of sync with a lot of other folks.

When I tended bar for a few years, I lived like that anyway. It's not really so bad.

I'm sure they can find a few night owls willing to be cranky and arbitrary toward foreigners over the internet at odd hours. It's Lolangeles, after all.

Yeah as long as you are sleeping your 8 hours a day it doesnt matter if you sleep during the day.

The world looks very different when you are on night shift though.

Because they don't have call centers there? It's not really cost effective to create an entire office in one location just so that you can have locals who speak the language.
