  • Something I've wondered for a while.

Hey all. I'm not sure if this is in the right section, so sorry if it's not. I've noticed this for a while, but never was sure what it meant. Sometimes on items, they'll be a "~" after the number. I have NO clue what this means. Following this paragraph is an example. If anyone could give me some info on this issue, I would greatly appriciate it! ^_^ Thanks in advance.

    Somepage explains it pretty well:

    http://ffxi.somepage.com/itemdb/7091 - Rajas Ring

Oh, I got it. So as somepage says:

      For an item that says
      +2~5 STR
      +2~5 DEX

The effects increase based on character level, from +2 at level 30 up to +5 at level 75; they increase by 1 every 15 levels.

Makes sense. Thanks for that link! ^^

That's why items with a ~ in them are so fancy. Who doesn't like something that will scale with you as you level?
