The fun part is when you try to help a friend with their LB1 paper and you have to fight against 50 Rank 1s, few of them with a subjob, all in crap gear, and all with names generated by the monkey-smash-keyboard method.

We did end up getting paper, got a second, too (always happens) and gave it to another player that had been in Eldieme forever competing for Lichs.

Say what now? No comment on that person being a gilbuyer or not, but what an idiot. That just screams of "OMG HEELING STAF COSTS 5M MORE TAHN LITE STAF SO IT MSUT B BETTAR!1!" What use is a healing staff outside of a max mp build for starting some big fight?

As for the new breed of gillies, I dunno. I get the impression that they're actually new to FFXI. Maybe some new shop has just opened up, or it's just decided to finally tap in to the FFXI market. They don't behave at all like the "older" gillies we've come to know and love. :/
