"Print your stuff out" is a very stupid answer, I am not going to waist all that ink and paper on info I can just click on and look at, and besides..... most of my ink and paper get used for work anyway -.-

You might think it's a stupid answer, however, it at least doesn't break the ToS which is in essence what you do every time you use the windower in its current incarnation.

Oh I'm sure theres some way SE can find to make this against the ToS. Chances are you've probably got a printer program running in the background of your computer while playing FF. SE =

Personally, I don't think it's a stupid answer at all, especially since I thought of it!

My point was I see alot of people saying that they want quest info or something while in game, and that was why they were using the Windower. Since I had assumed people were planning to do this quest, or whatever, before hand, it seemed natural to me to research it before going ingame, and printing or writing down whatever info you needed.

and waist more and more ink, dont think so, I could just alt-tab and get the same info in just under a minute and save ink and paper. My PC is a multi function system... not a FFXI-box

But, if there were no strategy guides or FAQ online (Let's just pretend for a minute) do you think you would need Windowers then?

yes, because I would be running other things on my PC like a always do, that need me to check on them sometimes.

man... if there was no somepage or alla or any other FFXI sites for maps and strats... I wouldn't be using windower. Then again I wouldn't be using FFXI either because I probably would have quit out of frustration.

Yes, because I could be doing homework while LFP, chatting to friends on AIM/MSN, playing another MMORPG (EvE-Online), downloading music/movies/porn, checking the TV guide, readeing CNN/Fox/MSNBC news.

The core of the case FOR the windower is the fact that the computer (or more-so Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP) was built so you can make better use of your time by doing several things at once. If PC users were ment to only do one thing at a time then Opperating Systems would not have advanced mutch beyond DOS.

The fact is, that playing FFXI on a PC puts the PC users at a DISADVANTAGE, because they spend the money for a system and they can not use it to it's full ability. If I ONLY played FFXI then I would have spend the $100 on the PS2 version instead of the hundreds of $$$ that I keep spending on my PC so I can do more and more with it (play Oblivion for example).
