brass hairpin

Mm i just bought this game a week ago, tried asking some people in game but didnt really work out, so ill try here

i bought a brass hairpin, supposed to up my MP right? but whenever i equip it there doesnt seem to be a change, can anyone explain why? thanks a bunch

Are you resting to full after you equip it? It ups your maximum MP, but you have to rest to fill your MP all the way up.

so hypothetically, i can remove the pin once i use up that MP and switch it for something else? because it ups MAX mp, yes?

Exactly. That's actually a technique many use (especially later on) with various +MP gear. Equip the item, rest to full, use the bonus, equip something else that you can use until you rest again. Wash, rinse, repeat.^^

It seems I made a kinda stupid assumption that removing +MP gear would drop your max MP and take away the MP I just rested... Now I see why people macro this kind of gear in, then macro it out. Guess I never tried it or observed somebody doing it.... Thanks for the tip!
