Yes. You can change them via options, or at the bottom of some pages.

We don't do absolutely everything together, but we do a lot. We are all RL friends and we have the same play time. We work together to support each others crafting levels, so when we hit Giddeus to harvest (for example), we do it in force. It's the same for logging (for our aspiring woodcrafter), farming hides and skins for our leathercrafter, or mining for my husband's smithing mule. We level our jobs together as well, and while I'm not saying it never happens, it's rare to see any of us leveling alone (I exp/merity WHM by myself because no one else has a job near my level.)

All told, we easily spend 75% or more of our online time playing together, enjoying each others' company, and helping each other level crafts.

Is that really so hard to believe?

*raises hand* In the past my LS has put together parties for easy farming of crafting items. It saves time, and it is always a ton of fun to go and do something with your LS, be it farming or whoring my cute little taru body out in lower jeuno..

Hi all, I don’t like to post a rant, and this really isn’t, it’s more of a “Please…come on, will ya, heh?!” type of post.

Ever since the new areas opened up to us all, life has been fun in FFXI land. I’ve enjoyed leveling there with a just a few people in my LS, we are 70+. The experience is fast, the mobs are plenty and above all, I’m with my mates.

Well, a week ago, a few people in my LS who are between 60-65 complained about being 2k away TNL, or they can’t get an invite, etc…The usual complaints of seeking and being in pick up parties. So, as my 70+ mates and I were heading onto the new area to exp, we said to our friends, “Hey, why don’t you join us?!” So, they did. We’ve had them join us each time we've gone since because it was a blast, except for one problem, which I will explain soon….

See, we didn’t care about the huge level differences, or that the experience points would be low, or that it wasn’t an “ideal” set up. All we cared about was helping out our LS friends, making them happy, gaining mild exp fast and above all having a great time together. However, it was treated as a crime against FFXI nature.

Whenever we find a camp, we make sure we’re not planted near anyone else’s domain. If we notice there is a lot of pulling competition out there from too many parties, we wait patiently for pops by us, and there are plenty of pops everywhere to go around for all those camps. We never ever would steal a mob someone was obviously engaged in pulling, we never have. We really try to treat everyone with respect.

The problem is, our people between 60-65 are getting tells from miscellaneous pullers and passer bys to “GTFO. You don’t belong here.” And the like. Also, we ALL will be heavily examined by other players and given those emotes of /sighs dejectedly /stares blankly and on and on. Our WHM in the LS that we convinced to join us is level 60 only. This seems to throw a lot of people checking us out into a froth! If they only knew this level 60 WHM is so talented in his skill that we trust him to take care of all of us and he never let us down. But when they see him there, we get /points and laughs.

Come on….If we stay in a corner, if we respect fellow players, if we don’t steal mobs in different spawning areas where other camps are, why should we—our little group—bother you? When is partying with your LS mates and helping them out and showing them a good time in a new area a crime? I’m sure we’re not the only LS that does this on any server.

All I can say is, if it does offend you to see this set up, if they’re not treading on your camp or your mobs, if they leave you alone, please just leave them alone as well.
Kill them all... problem solved! :D

It is a shame we need to do this, but you know, it's preferrable to splitting hairs in /tells with jerks. Thanks!
Sometimes, the best solution is that simple solution no one ever thinks of till the end.
