Another thing to consider is that people DID notice that the entire pt is in the same linkshell.

I don't know about the rest of the server, but I know when I see an entire party from one linkshell, if it's not standing around a dynamisis entry point, I get a bit suspicious that it's a RMT LS. Granted, there are exceptions for some of the major country-related linkshells, BastokSpecialForces, WindurstAlliance, but if it's a relatively unknown linkshell partying with itself, ESPECIALLY if there is a wider level gap than normal, I'll write it off as a RMT group.

The other day I was running through Valkrum Dunes and I came upon this Army of TaruTaru. I mean Army, capital A, there must have been an alliance and a half of them, all with the same face and hair color too, all with the same linkshell, all wearing the level 1 starter gear. I thought I'd come upon a bunch of garrrison NPCs that had gotten lost on the way.

Anyway, it was quite a spectacle, and I mentioned it in LS, turns out everybody but me knew about them and they're a new RMT group on Midgard.

I don't mean this as an attack on you in any way, but does any one else find this kind of attitude quite sad? That in a game where the whole point is to play together socialise, build a community, that those doing so are veiwed as the type of people who are try to tear it all down. Are people's suspicions of gillsellsers so high that all it takes to be suspected of being one is to be playing the game with a few friends. Is that really where we are as a community?

Like i say nothing personal Irijir, just a little shocked that people really have this attitude.

As for the OP. Don't let em grind you down, you keep playing however is fun, especially considering that you are being considerate to others in the area.

Yea thats some sad attitude. Do you know all the LS names? Why wouldnt they be together, they are a linkshell? Why if they are standing at dynamis entry points etc would they not be RMT?

OP, good on you helping out your LS mates. It really makes me happy to know that there are still folks that will do stuff just to make their friends happy and help them succeed, indtead of being totally obsessed with their own wants.

And Irisjir, that's really not a great assumption to make. I've been in several static parties where all the members wore the same pearl (the LS being just for the STPT). My LS often exps together (full parties wearing our pearl), farms together, and does missions together. We even harvest and mine together, and many of us tend to be anon except when we're exping. :/

My LS often plays together, be it static parties, skill ups, whatever. I don't get this attitude of people sticking their noses into other people's business and constant suspicion of anyone doing anything that isn't considered 'normal' behaviour, pretty unpleasant in my opinion.

I knew we should have nipped it in the bud when we started to do things together. Normal linkshells just bitch about their current parties and mt cyb0rz and say "When are we doing 5-1?"

To the OP (before we go too far off topic): I think it's great that your group decided to value companionship over optimal EXP/hour. Not that there is anything wrong with valuing the latter, but I just think it's great that you wanted to spend some time together with friends of disparate levels. So, don't worry too much about what other people say. Unless, of course, they are all "Oh noes, RMT!"

Yes it is sad, sadly to say. Some of our LS members and I have been playing with each other since the game came to NA, over two years. I've seen attitudes change over the years, and it's practically a witch hunt to assume nowadays people are RMT for being together playing in one shell, having good gear, or feeling like crafting all day long. But, that's another topic!

Agreed. I had this last night. People with whom I have merited before badgering me to go xp with them for 1337 15/20k an hour - I chose to go merit with friends who I have been with every Monday for the past 2 months. Regular set up, friends from linkshells past and present, and 10k an hour unstressed. Seriously. I was nuking to burn up mp because my convert timer was up. Xp like that - waaaay more fun, and that is what memories are made of.

I highly doubt you have a linkshell full of Dehorses that need to do EVERYTHING with somebody else.

Not everyone uses the dark theme here. I prefer the default white/blue scheme myself, but the colorized text should probably have been left default.
