    Re: gamepad?

The d-pad on that looks better than the one I have. It just looks like a mesh that I can't control.

      Re: gamepad?

Yeah, it is better. I also have a wired Logitech for my PC. The D-pad on that is horrible. I hit left, I go down... >.<

To the post above about the Netplay..
Is this what it looks like?

I also play the game on my PS2, and that's what this Netplay is for. You CAN detach the keyboard section from the body and use it as a USB keyboard on either your PS2, or PC as well. Of course the body has it's PS2 cable for the controlls, and such. I love how the keys feel on it, but it's laptop sized... many typos on my end, heh.

In my opinion, the Logitech brand PS2-style controller analog sticks are way too loose. I'd splurge for the official PS2 controller (I think it's around $40) & just buy a USB adapter from Radio Shack for about $6.

That's what the software is for. >.<
You can adjust the sensitivity of the analog sticks. :-P

            Re: gamepad?

I could never play this game with mouse and keyboard, in fact, I have been playing for almost two years now and I still couldn't even begin to tell you how to do anything with a keyboard. My controller is similar to the one Eohmer posted, only mine isn't wireless.

My husband has a wireless one, I don't like it because when the batteries run out I have to log out of the game and POL, change them, then log back in before it will continue to work, which is frustrating. I've found that the cord really isn't all that bothersome, it's just the same as though I were playing the PS2 anyway.

I don't have to log out at all. Neither does my GF.

I'm talking about the actual physical feel of the controller itself. The analog sticks are too flimsy with not enough resistance for my taste.

Yeah, my husband claims that he doesn't, either, which makes me feel like I'm retarded, but I could never get the controller to work after I'd changed the batteries.

I'm considering getting a usb adaptar and a ps2 controller, I cant take this d-pad much longer.

alright so now I'm kind of between the Rumblepad and the netplay keyboard/controller. I ordered the Netplay, but I could cancel at any time. The only issue I have with the Rumblepad is: won't it be kind of a hassle to type things? Wouldn't I constantly have to be switching back and forth between the controller and the keypad?
I don't really know how to put this, but
I'm kind of a big deal. People know me.

Yes, you'd have to switch back and forth a lot. As a full-time keyboard user that would be really annoying for me, but a lot of people seem to not mind it at all.

Hmm...on another post I also read on the Netplay keyboard/controller I wouldn't be able to set up macros? What does that mean exactly?

That was a bad way of putting it. You will still set up macros (they are configured in-game), but you will access them via your trigger buttons, not via the keyboard.
