The "I was only trying to help" excuse will work maybe once. If the player is a suspected gilseller, however, the GM might not buy it and they could get a temp. ban for MPK.
And for the record, you are not allowed in the US to disseminate information that can be used to create bombs/explosives/contraband:
That is why Tyler in the movie used "Orange Juice". I believe adding the OJ will make the substance less flammable as the water will mediate the reaction.
We used to play around with that kind of stuff when we were kids... That was before it was illegal to disseminate explosives production info. There was a rinky-dink publishing company that was found (monetarily) liable for a murder a while back because the killer used their book to make a silenced weapon and perform a hit. I would recommend editing your post as a prudent measure. And if you're referring to the LSD recipe that involes a pan and your closet, you'd be one very, very ill person if you actually attempted it--the substance is formed through a very complicated chemical reaction similar to reactions used to produce other pharmaceuticals. You'd actually have to have a pharmaceutical grade laboratory to produce it (it was originally a pharmaceutical variant that was intended to reduce bleeding during menstruation, if I remember correctly).
here is how i've been MPked a few times since the patch. Player runs by camp and a marid hot on his tail. sleeps in camp. repeats over and over sleeping it in the middle of your camp. it wakes up and wses him and binds nad urns. Chigoe jump off and attack your pty.
[GM]Dave>> Last question.
Player>> Shoot.
[GM]Dave>> Don't tempt me.

I kno it doesnt really apply to this thread, but yea. Its true.
for one you are right that has nothing to do with this thread, and you can also bite me, I am not a fanboy for the Fucking last time, you have no clue how anoying that is.........I feel like some of you on these boards just follow me around just to mess with me and I want you all to back the hell off!!
I say the game is fine, because to me it is, I fully understand that in games like this it takes time and many tries to get something fixed, SE, nor any company can just fix something with a snap of the fingure, it takes time to code and update, then servay and take notes...then code again. All I hear from people is "omg this does not work right" or "SE sucks and needs to learn how to program" and I get sick of hearing it. SE is a big company like most gaming companies, and they are not stupid, it just takes time to work out bugs, yeah taht is what Beta is for, but alot of things just dont show up in testing most of the time. Its not my fault that most people cant understand that they cant get what they want when they want it.........

There's several really simple answers to the things that SE should do. First and foremost, they should make some use of their test servers. If it was open to the public, we could help test and report bugs in a setting that mirrors actual gameplay, not a small group of dev characters spawning monsters to experiment with their new hate claim system. An open test server would work wonders for this community, but it'll never happen.
Another thing that SE needs to do is shine up their banhammer and come in swinging. They carry out investigations on gil sellers, bot users, etc. for months before deciding what to do. By the time something is done about it, said group of individuals has already cornered the market on whatever they've been exploiting and when they're banned a new group simply moves in and takes over. If SE were to strike some fear into the people who are using bots, selling gil, or whatever then things would probably get back to the way they were when the game first started for us PC release players before all the faggotry.
I honestly don't see why they can't just monitor player names that they receive a large amount of GM calls about. If they did that and followed through with a banhammer strike to the face for the person who violated the rules, then we'd be short a few more gil sellers.

thats another problem, people think SE can just "come in swinging" as you put it, but they cant, it takes (you guess it) time to get a mass amount of people banned, you cant just ban people on what others say,for all SE knows, they just hate that person and want them banned. SE needs a decent amount of proof before they can reall do anything.

Yet according to their ToS, they can ban you for any reason at any time if they see fit. They don't "need" proof. What they need to start doing is banning the fuckers like "Lszhjrkly" and "Dssededed" that go AFK in sky when your LS is camping Ulli, and somehow claim it RIGHT when it pops......
SE can ban people WHENEVER, and FOR WHAT EVER REASON. They don't NEED proof.
Also, Dirtyclown is right, they need to start banning strictly. When WoW first came out, my brother told me that EVERY person who was running a casino with /random, was banned. Guess what? There's no Casinos now.

/sigh When did this become another gilseller thread?
As for the AI issue, it's been three months. Three months is more than enough time to devise a fix or roll back the changes until they're ready to be implemented. And before you say I don't know about game development and I can't talk, yes I do. I did this for a living for a year. Three months is a long time for a bug of this class to remain unresolved. I think the only explanation is that they don't know about the problem or don't consider it to be an issue, in which case it's up to us to bring it to their attention if we want it to get fixed. As the changes to chocobo breeding showed, SE is receptive to player feedback.
I said in my first post that gilsellers were doing this to my HNMLS when we farmed pots in sky.
To Kailea:
Fanboy
This section is about a person devoted to a hobby. For the grammar mnemonic, see Fanboys (mnemonic)
For more details on this topic, see Fanboy.
Fanboy or Fanboi is a term used to describe someone (typically male) who is utterly devoted to a single subject or hobby, often to the point where it is considered an obsession. The term originated in comic book circles, to describe someone who was socially insecure and used comics as a shield from interaction, hence the disparaging connotations. Fanboys are often experts on minor details regarding their hobbies, such as continuity in fictional universes, and they take these details extremely seriously. The term itself is often used in a derogatory manner by less serious fans of the same material. Nevertheless, self-labeling usages of the term have been noted; in the songs of the fannish parody musician Luke Ski, many characters proudly consider themselves fanboys. The term is usually applied to people in their teens or 20s. Within this group, common objects of deference for fanboys are TV shows, movies, anime, cars, video game consoles, video games, operating systems, MMORPGs, ISPs and software companies.
I got this from Wiki, so by definition, you are a fanboy. ;>.>

Cops can also demand to see your ID whenever they feel like it. That doesn't mean its a good idea to do so.
WoW is a horrible example of 'banning.' They ban masses with little reason other then they feel like it. Of those that are banned, a significant portion just buy the game again and keep doing what they were doing before. Banning makes Blizzard money, they have existing customers buying the game all over again, and on paper it looks to those that don't feel like looking into what is going on like they are 'doing something.'
WoW's bannings have fixed nothing. They have as much problems with people breaking their ToS as when they first started, but its fantastic publicity.

There's a major update coming up that has been delayed several times already. I doubt the delay is because they've been sleeping at their desks
Oh, I get you. Other things have been keeping their resources busy. That's possible, but not a good reason to just assume the issue will be handled. It's a dangerous philosophy to believe that problems will go away without you saying or doing something about them. If there is a gunshot in your neighborhood and everyone who hears it assumes someone else will be the one to call the police or that the police already know about it, someone could get away with murder. In this case I think complaining and sending reports to SE is the right thing to do if you care about the game being improved, at least until we have some assurance that the problem has been recognized.
I know for a fact that if you are fighting a mob, and some one runs by you and zones witha bunch of the same mobs ( that link ), then yes you are in for a fight, because they will not depop, they will link with what you are fighting.
I had a lv75 PLd help me prove this in Beaduexe (sp), and also Boyahda Tree. Both times mobs linked instead of depopping like they should have. If I was not fighting nothing, then the mobs just depopped.
You have to be fighting something at the zone for it to link, otherwise it will be like the leave action, just got dormant for lik3 2-3 secs and depop.
