Do not do bcnm50 Trials and Tribulations. You'll waste your seals. For 50seals and a small chance at 1mil is pretty ridiculous.

I wasted 100 seals on this myself, 300 seals the whole run (2 other friends) and we all came out with a grand total of 65k. that's 6 runs... even if we got a mil each, still not worth 100 seals.

For Treasure & Tribulations can you use a Reraise Item, and try all 3 chests? I know you can't pop a chest when weakened, but with 30 minutes to do all three, that's plenty of time.

OR does it kick you out after you get the open the chest. Good or bad you're done? I've never given this a try, was just curious. If I'm gonna solo one, might as well go to make sure I get some gil outta it.

That seems unlikely alone, but with a group, I suppose that's entirely possible. The idea is that you can choose, and get the treasure chest right off, or you can fight a mimic and then enjoy treasurey goodness.

I have however heard rumor of a RNG seeing a Mimic on Wide Scan.

As have I, and I'd love to know if it's really true. Because if so, Ranger Ho. Or something. I'm not saying that when I'm a ranger I'm a ho. I'm just...oh, nevermind.

I don't know much about fighting mimics, but I know it sucks.

Once you pick a chest the other two despawn I think leaving you with a mimic or the treasure chest. So if it was the mimic, once it was done killing you the mimic would still remain. Its been awhile since ive attempted this bcnm if anyone else can confirm this.

That is correct. When you choose a chest, be it an actual chest or a mimic, the other two despawn. If by some chance you're able to defeat the mimic, then an armory crate will appear in the center of the BC.

It's only a waste if you have any other use for your seals.

Considering my recent success rate with other BCNMs, which is constant failure , all those seals were taking up space, and a chance at 1 mil for 50 seals was better than, for example, a chance at 750k with 40, and some pick-up party that has no clue what it's doing. Sure, I could do them with my linkshell; if they were interested. Which they weren't.

Not sure about BCNM 60's, I guess I'll just have to save up for those, won't I?

If you really want to dump your seals, lvl. smn to 20, have ramuh and go knock yourself out doing the bcnm20 that drops astrals. A chance at an item that sells very well at the cost of 20 seals. Those lv. 50 rings arent that great sellers really.

I still feel 50 seals for a chance at 1mil and loss of XP is a waste. You'll regret dumping those 50 seals when you come across a chance to do other bcnms.

Well I tried Treasure and Tribulations with my monk character and got lucky. Picked the medium box and got an astral. I think it was karma since I died trying to help someone do mission 2-3 while there. :D

With that character I really don't have many other options (without a lot of hassle that probably isn't worth it) since the only jobs she has are monk and warrior.

BCNM 50 the final bout is real easy with a PLD and 2 DD's who can deal alot of dmg in a short time, and the treasure is real nice to, just rember to bring echo drops for blm if your using one and for the pld to.

I'm not planning to level SMN 'till I beat the primes, though, but I'll keep it in mind.

I probably will regret dumping so many seals at a later date, but, for now, the fun of it was worth it.

Of course, my definition of fun is taking the risk and doubling up on a 7 or 8 with a Phantom Roll. I like to take my chances, and if it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out. Most people's idea of fun is keeping the roll at 7 or 8, and not risking the increase. (Yes, that is both an -what are they, analogies?- an analogy and something I actually do.)

If you see a chest on widescan, that means it's mimic I think. The real chest shouldn't show up on widescan.
