I run into a similar problem myself. I don't like to come off as a jerk, so I try my best to be as polite as humanly possible, but sometimes people just. don't. get. it. And at that point I have to decide if it's time to just disband, or try and make it work. Sadly, it's more often the former.

As many have already said, these parties would have had a rough time even if you hadn't been leading. Everyone has their bad days.

Situations like this are exactly why I hate making parties, so I never do. I gather a very high anxiety from little things like leading when no one has any effing idea what they're doing. People don't realize that a leader would still like input on some decisions, like where to camp.

(Knives) Okay guys, I believe we're all set. It looks like Bibiki Bay is pretty clean right now, how about we head on over that way?
(RandomMember#1) dam i hate bibiki bay lets go somewhere else
(Knives) Okay, sure. Where do you think we should go?
      Crickets : *Chirp* *Chirp*

That's what always happens. People may not want to go somewhere, but they don't know anywhere better, so why even bother dealing with them? God, I hate it.
      guh :D
