Let me start off by saying I hate gil sellers. Back in the day I used to MPK the fisher bots in koroloka tunnel, and MPK the Tom's in Ordelles Caves... and there are no words that can describe the joy I felt with a job well done. It's been a while since my MPK attacks on gil sellers, with the nerf update on BST and all. Last night while I was roaming around in jeuno with my party flag up on my WAR, I heard a person named "Lovelovelove" shouting for 85 goldsmithing. Now anyone on Bismarck server could say its safe to assume that this person is a gil seller. And if not /sea all Lovelovelove, and you will see rank1 BLM20/WHM1 then ask her how much gil she has (but she prolly wont answer because she speaks mostly chinese). And if your on Bismarck you can /sea at any hour because she stays logged on 24/7 crafting. Her woodworking is 100, and she wanted someone to synth beads for her out of her ores, so she can HQ some elemental staffs. I thought it would be funny to log to my mule, tell her i had 100 goldsmithing, and jack all of her ores. So I did, and sure enough she took the airship to port sandoria (the location of my mule). She traded me a dark ore, and a stack of wind crystals. I turned around and sent them to my main, and /goodbye lovelovelove. She spams a couple words in chinese, "cao mi na" (anyone know what this means?). I tell my linkshell and a couple friends, they all think its hilarious. Then about a half hour later a couple other friends tell me she is spamin shouts about my mule in lower jeuno, and I didnt really think nothin of it. I wake up the next morning and my account is suspended (HAH!), but the feeling of stealing from a gil seller... Priceless.

... Wow. o_O Well, I probably wouldn't get off on something like that, but I will say that there's a person on Phoenix named Lovelovelove as well. I believe s/he normally makes bunches and bunches of shihei to sell.
    guh :D

I'm starting to think they deleted my account and not suspension, because of the several MPK incidents. None of which were on non-gil selling people mind you. Kind of funny how you can sell gil and manipulate NM's. But when someone tries to stop that, they get they're account deleted.

That's because it's harder for them to prove that these accounts are selling gil, whereas it's very obvious that you did something wrong.

I'm not saying that it's right, but that's why you're in the situation you're in.

You know for me, gilseller or not you are still violating the rules and doing harm to another player...i just dont agree with the eye for an eye thing. It makes me feel one isnt any better than the other, always. I wouldnt say you have any right to say anything about SE deleting your account.

Its not the place of normal players such as ourselves to play judge and jury anyway. Your thread (and others similar to it) make me uneasy about players because it seems people are quick to cast judgements on fellow players when its not their place.

I agree that gilsellers' actions make aspects of the game unenjoyable; but players who decided they are "swords of justice" also make the game unenjoyable.

You have a problem with a player, call a GM and let them handle it. But I think you got what you deserved. I hope they stripped your character of the items you stole while they were in the process of banning you.

You broke the rules and got caught. While I don't really feel sorry for you, I wouldn't be the one calling a GM on you either. Gilsellers walk a (very) fine line on not getting enough evidence against them to get caught.

I don't think you had any actual proof that she/he was a gilseller.

Let's apply this to a real life situation and see what happens!

Let's say you discover that someone in the community is dealing drugs. You spot him walking around in a mall. Since you do not want to call the cops to arrest him, you take matters into your own hands.

You get up behind him and crack his neck Metal Gear Solid style. Since the cops walking around in the mall spot you, since there are no people around, they open fire and create a nice sandbag out of your body.

This, my friend, is what happens when you take matters into your own hands.

"cao ni ma" is pinyin for "<expletive> your mother" in Mandarin Chinese.

                            Good man.

You are one of the few who actually stand up to the sellers. The GMs don't do it, the "measures" don't do it, but you did. I commend you for that.

As far as I'm concerned, lovelovelove being on 24/7 is proof enough. That's also a very typical seller name.

You weren't right, though... But you don't have to be right to do something good.

                            Vigilantism ftw.

And here's something for you and the rest of your sympathizers.

As for knowing that the ones listed are sellers, you get a feeling for it after a while. Anybody who spends a lot of time in a gilseller-camped area knows this.

                              Ahah XD

                              Story:

Quicksand Caves, near the NM that drops company sword or whatever it is.

                              Plenty of gilsellers ofcourse.

                              Im a BLM.

I anon and take off all my JS gear, and i ask the BLM in the gilseller pt to warp me.

                              They invite me.

They all get warped. We claim nm. :D

                              Double Post Edited:
Much better than MPK XD, atleast it didnt get me burned.

Sorry for your loss, i sympathize, but theres nothing you can do...
