If FFXI were real, extortion would be very easy, Chocobos wouldnt cause global warming and it would be perfectly fine to walk into peoples houses so they can send you on "quests" to get the milk from the local shop, for fame and traveling from Europe to Australia would take three minutes.

•Eventually, one of the airships would crash...(just hope you're not on it).
•Ballista would be the only sport in the world.
•Gilsellers would actually feel all of the slaps they recieve from people.
•People would randomly disappear after a red dot appears next to their........erm...
•....peoples' names would float directly above their heads.
•You could hear peoples' shouts from incredibly long distances.
•You would finally be able to see just how many people there are standing in front of the Lower Jeuno AH.
•Experience points would be likened to a drug...you know you need your fix.
•Frequently, retired people would start over from the beginning again.
•Monsters would smell bad.
•Most people would carry around a seashell and talk into it occasionally.
•There would only be one school in the world. (windurst)
•Jeuno would be the world's largest superpower, despite the other countries having legions of powerful adventurers and Jeuno having a meek bunch of soldiers.
•Ancient Magic would be outlawed. Even beastmen and monsters deserve some mercy.
•A goblin could be tricked out of aggroing you by bribing him with gil.
•The Pamana market would quickly overtake the banana market...
