Ok How do i take screenshots and view them

There's two ways to do it.
If you're running on PC, you can hit the Pause/Break button I believe and that takes everything off the screen but characters....no text. Then hit the print screen button to take a SS. I'm not sure which actual file its under, but its in the FFXI main folder. Someone can probably explain that part better than I.

If you want a SS with the text still there, or to make a video, then you'll need to download another program. The most commonly used ones are Fraps and Clipper. When setting up the program, you can tell it where to put the screenshots. I think it defaults to the Fraps folder.

Can't find the clipper website. Fraps is just www.fraps.com

Windower is also popular, but ALT+TAB is so much more evil than .dat mods, so I can't link it

you can also use the print screen key (this captues whatever is on the screen into the clipboard) then quit FFXI and then paste it into whatever your favourite graphics program is. Can only do one at a time like this though.

not really practical if you want to do it as habit, but good for if you just want the one doing and don't fancy faffing around with other programmes.

Yeah, i used to do that. It's annoying since you cant copy more then once w/ that way.
