Re: Blacklist drama
If I'm willing to post within my linkshell that a given person is a thief, bought character, exc. I feel I should have the courage to place it where it can be challenged as well. If my goal is to warn of harmful actions, unless the actions are targeted only at my linkshell posting for just linkshell mates would not be appropriate. The level of proof to be included I think comes more to the heart of the matter since few want to see inoscient people maligned over a misunderstanding. I personally favor a preponderance of the evidence approach. Would a neutral party looking at the evidence be inclined to agrree said party did indead perform said action and secondly does a neutral party care that they have done so.
While I refuse to even touch on the subject of trying to enforce a shun directive because I'm not sure what I think of that myself I see no problem with posting my feelings along with evidence gathered for others to objectively examine.
My target audience if I were to post such warnings about another would be people who know neither me nor the one I am accusing hence leaving only the evidence presented and explanations by all parties. A blacklist should contain more than he said she said but photographic evidence, screenshots, voice recordings do help credibility. A blacklist without credibility is a poor joke and nothing more while cataloged proof that can be examined becomes a formible tool if the evidence can survive public scrutiny.
