Funny Crap you've seen.

This is simply a post about what you've seen that's made you laugh. Pretty simple.

Anyways, I'll start it off:

One time in a besieged, I strolled off to the center square. Like any besieged, there was killing, maiming, Area-of-effect attacks, lots of mobs, lots of PCs, and lots of NPCs.

One in particular caught my eye.

General Rughadjeen! Wow! I said that and gasped. Seriously.

He looks so cool. But I wasn't exactly marvelling over that. I had seen this guy many times before.

Rughadjeen was chasing down a lowly Puk, who was chasing a White Mage.

However, chasing Rughadjeen were approximately 7 drakes. I had shat myself.

His health dropped like the butter-side of toast. White Mages cranked the Divine Seal + Cure 5 on. He was dead in no less than 10 seconds.

The funny part though, was that the drakes had split after the kill.

Right towards the mages.

Seeing as every one of those delicate Red, White, and Black Mages had been so intent on healing the worst tank in besieged, they were the first to go down. Shortly followed was almost every single body in the parade grounds that I could see. It was an absolute massacre. 3 of Odin's Generals had died that besieged. It was a close one.

Funny crap I've seen?

One time I saw this turd, but it wasn't that funny. He just kept saying the same joke over and over:

"Women be different from men, see?"

I guess it was kind of funny considering it was a turd, but still. Aren't gender jokes a little hack?

In the dunes, I recently saw a party of level 16s exping on Pugils (or trying to, at least) with the aid of a level 28 RDM babysitter.

Fishie critted twice and screwdrivered the RDM to death, then proceeded to wipe the party, which immediately fell in to chaos. ^-^

funniest thing i saw...
was a ninja clan... they all just.. ran outside of sandy(im talking 50+ people)
in sync, did 2hr

talk about lag, not to mention i saw 4-5 people get dc because of it xD

that was back in 04-05 new years eve i believe

Story 1.)

I attempted to make this guy a plastron when they first came out, and it shattered like tossing a brick through a window. Cost was approx 60 million.

The guy's like "OMFG, I sold all my equip to afford this s**t, I have no gil left! and that was 2 years of stuff"

A week later he shoots me a tell "Hey I got the materials, wanna try again?" >.>



Story 2.)

There was a group of gsellers xping in the dunes, and they all had manage to set hp at the outpost apparently.

Well these guys were lvl 12 or so, but felt it was smart to pull gobs over for the kill. Not only did these guys die, they kept HPing and joining back into the fight. lol

So after maybe 5 deaths each, and 200xp gained for the kill, they felt this was worthwhile and repeated the pattern. I didn't stay long enough to see them delvl or see if they eventually moved/left after figuring out that wasn't going to work.

Oh I don't know. I would have to say the funniest thing I saw was just after the PS2 release.

A "Call for Help" Marchellute in front of Selbina, D. Death everything in sight.

Or...

The West Ron. Rank 7 NM at the Sandy gates owning all the new Blu, Pups and Cors that were XPing at the time.

one of my funniest is to have an rdm in pt who gets poisoned by a hawker and doesnt ask for poisona. normally this wouldnt be a big deal but in this case...

he uses all his mp by the end of the fight. with 2mp left, he converts.
then falls to the ground.

Well.. there was that one time xp'ing on spiders in Boyhalda<tab> Tree. The spider turned off our tank, ran over to the taru blm, sickle slashed him to death in one hit, turned around and went back to the tank. All in less than 3 seconds.

Took us longer to comprehend just what happened than it took the spider to do it.

Not really a funny story, but it looks funny as hell.

Helping my brother level in the starter zones, keeping an eye on his newb ass. He's not a pro at the basics at this point so bonksters will run up and try to eat him while he fights a Puny Orc or what-have-you. The funny part is when a hound or a bomb rolls up, growls, and then lays down. I will have shot it with an arrow when it first moved somewhat near him.

He probably thinks that Vana'danimals randomly take naps out in the woods.

Look up Alether's "BST stole my mob" story. That was the funniest thing I've read in a long time.

Funny stuff I saw myself...well there's one screenshotted in my journal. I was hanging out with a friend, and we ran into my "sister" (Pixymisa, level 75 hume whitemage, same face model as me) so we all stood around talking. Then Des (also level 75 whitemage, same face model) ran up and joined us. A couple other friends difted in, and at some point we all /sat down in a circle, talking and emoting at each other.

Now I have no idea what happened, but we were in saroumuge champagne doing this, and this level 1 naked elvaan that none of us knew runs out of Jeuno and out into the wilderness. A moment later she ran back towards us with a gob in tow and died a few feet away. We didn't really pay attention to this...

So the level 1 HPs, comes back, repeats the process, but this time she lands a little closer.
At this point, one of the mages raised her. Probably Pixymisa.

So the mule, presumably, runs off and dies upon agro just barely inside our clipping range.

At this point, we're all wondering what the point is. The mule waits a moment, then HP's.

And comes back.

And THIS TIME, finally, she runs back with gob on her tail, and dies right smack dab in the middle of the circle.

And the gob looks at us...

And we look at the gob...

And then all the whitemages stand up, in unison.

And we all cast Holy on the gob. In unison.

And we all sit back down. In unison.

And the mule doesn't HP, but remains there, lying in the center of our circle, for about a half hour.


So we had stewed mule for dinner and agreed that it was pretty good.

Start of a besgiged on Unicorn. we started with only 4 generals since no one had rescuded the kidnapped one. Ya sure save the taur but not the generals real smart. Well anyway some noob daigas and gets let 100 mobs on him and trains it right to the hall of binding. needless to say all 4 generals die and you see 400+ people in the hall and 100 mobs in the hall of binding. 100 of us all on the bridge going up to the Astral Canaicane. Need less to say this lasted 1 1/2 horus but we won. still unfeated. 112 wins. but the funny thing was seeing all the people and mobs in teher and taking screen shots of it XD

There were two people in my pt today talking about mithra porn. The whm (who was a mithra) was hounding on him to get the link to some "good mithra porn". Then the whm found some and said that he'd be busy inbetween fights. That's when it went from funny to disturbing.

I have seen quite a few funny things during my time playing this game, but they all seem to involve me dying, being incredibly stupid, or both. I would share, but I prefer to stay in my happy place for now.
