Another PC, who shall remain nameless, approached me just as I was about to enter the Konschtat Highlands and asked, in the worst possible English, if I could take him to Bastok.
Apparently, the poor guy was from Windurst and was grouping with two level 10s in Valkrum Dunes (his words) and they bailed on him. He must have set his return point somewhere in Valkrum, I don't know if that is possible, but he had died a few times trying to get to Bastok from Valkrum.
Long story short (too late), I cut a path for him from the North Gustaberg side of Konschtat/North Gustaberg zone line to the Bastok Markets zone in. Not very far, but I guess I did my good deed for the day in that.
I can't decide if I have a warm fuzzy feeling from being able to help someone at my level, or if I'm more irritated that I had finally gotten out to Konschtat and had to turn around and run all the way back to Bastok.
