I swear most of the people objecting in this thread are just making nonsensical arguments. Aelathir has made the most sense, with his argument that it's a black and white issue. You can believe that it's black and white, or you can believe that greyness is allowed since there's either grey or nothing. That makes sense, and is debatable, but the rest of you are either exagerating or just nitpicking and flaming for the sake of flaming.

And you are adding anything constructive? you obviously havent read any of the posts. They are asking the same question over and over because RD seems to be dodgeing it over and over. If you dont like what the posts are doing easy solution is dont read it. No one is forceing you to read or respond.

I've read the entire thread and check in on it. I was against it at first, but after reading some of the posts on Alla and discovering his error record is 0, I think the list is a good thing.

If by "constructive" you mean "negative", then I guess you're right, I'm no longer being "constructive" in your book.

As for RD being unresponsive, tell me the issues that are still unresolved and I'll give you a response he's made. If you want, I'll also post copies of all the non-sensical arguments and flames that have been made against the list in this thread.

and you are not paying attenton either. we are not mainly discussing the list but the effects of it in game and how he presents himself and harasses players IN GAME.

Both quotes came from this thread, not the list. They both seem to make sense to me as you both you and RD seem to be sensible people. Perhaps with differing ideals, but sensible individuals nonetheless. You both stated that there is no reason why you should have to read a thread that you dislike, and you took it further by adding it's also unnecessary to respond to a thread you dislike. The fact that this thread is an extension of the list (pretty much created to minimize clutter on the list) means that the topic of discussion is the list. Hell, read the title of the thread...

The effects that the list has in game are indeed a topic worth discussing, but you can't deny that this thread and everything said on it (regardless of whether or not you've seen "The List" thread for ages) is about the list.

yes but you dont understand my motives for continued posting in this thread. I dont agree with the harassing of players ingame by anyone. I cant stand the fact. that is the only reason I continue to post. I want the harassment to cease. thats all.

it's going to be 4th of July weekend (that's Indpendence Day in the US - big national holiday), go out and enjoy the sun.

It won't, build a bridge, get over it. Play on your server, have fun, and don't concern yourself with the goings on over on Seraph, a server you have absolutely nothing to do with. Ping stated he was happy with the thread as long as certain rules were adhered to and they have been so far. Attempting to bully and cajole him into reversing his decision via PMs is not respecting the decision that has been made. Either accept the rules that are in place on these boards or find another that will buckle everytime whiners decide to spam if they don't agree on something.

I have off for the 2nd day of work because of flooding, even though it's sunny and dry out. Working for the government is nice when the headquarters makes closing decisions based on alarmist news reports.

It seems like your questions were mostly answered. Your questions seemed mostly of "what if" and "but this could happen". That was my original conception of the list as well until I read the Alla forums and saw that the "what if" never happened (and the list has been going for over a year now, so there's no reason to expect it to happen, especially with the extra scrutiny of ffxionline members).

Cole comes off as a big MPKing asshole, but his actions differ greatly from his attitude.

Define harassment. My definition of harassment does not include telling people of a factual list that will be put on and the likely ramifications of being placed there. I may try to beat the whole bit about how you will likely be blackballed from several endgame LSs that use and know about this list, but calling that harassment... Welcome to the real world, everything is not rainbows and gumdrops. If you went crying to the police every time someone called you a name or threatened to tell people bad things about you, they'd laugh.

The SE harassment clause is there to prevent gross extremes of harassment in my mind. And it is not like I or anyone else I know of makes it a point to /t these people every day telling them they are scum, I could see that as excessive, but it is not happening this way. I talk to the people when they are added, that is all, in a perfect world, sure maybe that would be harassment, but this list would not be needed in a perfect world, and the informing them of what repurcussions of PTing with RMT would get them to leave their PT.

And for the love of god, stop defending Teranceanthony. The guy lied in the copy/pasted text from allakhazam, in addition to showing his attitude that it is just a game and he did not care who he exped with. And since none of you seem to have caught on to the lieing part, he said Saereal and his other PT members didn't know anything about this. Go look at the screenshot I posted with my conversation with him. I talk to Saereal in that same screenshot.

But if those things happened you'd never know so saying these things havn't happened yet in the over a year is moot.

I'd know because everyone is given a link to the list and would make a post about it. So far, I've never come accross anyone objecting to their placement on the list that was geniunely innocent. If you have, lemmie know cause that would change my mind.
