Anyway my friend wanted to come hang out while I PTed in the Jungles. That place is pretty confusing as is but he somehow managed to find me with out asking me for my <pos>. When he got to where my PT was he had his mentor flag up. Now my question is does having your Mentor Flag give you the ability to know where players are? Or was it just sheer luck that he found me?

Mentor Flag provides no special benefit. He probably just guessed, based on where people usually party there. There are a handful of established camping sites.

No, mentor status doesn't give you special anything other than the icon and making you show up in mentor searches. If your friend was reasonably experienced at the game, he probably just knew the most common campsites and you showed up at one of the first ones he checked.Comment
