I've seen a mid-60'ish RDM solo it once on my way to Yuhtunga Jungle. Didn't get hit, but was /NIN, and had buffs up at all times.

Keep in mind that RDM/NIN are the solo kings. I've seen level 75s get whoped when not prepared.

Rose Garden

The NM:

In the kazam jungles, there lies a marlboro that goes by the name of Overgrown Rose.

If one manages to keep the O. Rose alive for 9~ hours, it will transform into a Rose Garden.

The Rose Garden is the NM in question, you only pop it under the condition that the O. Rose was kept alive for 9 hours or more.

The only means to keep it alive is to trust the fellow players around you, you have to believe the other players will be kind enough not to kill it.

You all get the picture already right.

I had 2 hours left. Less than 2 hours, around 1:40 hrs to go.

A Dragoon jumps and kills it.

The really stupid part about Rose Garden is that people kill the placeholder out of spite usually, or also kill it for competition to reset the timer. If you're one of those two groups of dumbasses, then you don't realize that by letting person A successfully camp and get drop it means that there is less competition when you come to camp. If everyone proceeded in a calm and organized manner, there wouldn't be any problems, but FFXI is filled with 12 year olds.

Im gonna retry again, i have 9 hours from now... ill be going to bed in about 2-3 hours, and hopefully over night no one will be farming malboro vines.

Keep in mind that RDM/NIN are the solo kings. I've seen level 75s get whoped when not prepared.

He is correct that a RDM/NIN can dispatch with little problem, but even a 75 can be killed easily, especially the unprepared 75s. Also, please be aware that Rose Garden does not have 100% drop on Vilma Ring, but Voluptuous Vilma does. Yes, Voluptuous Vilma does exist and has popped and been killed on Ramuh.

Those NM-types can be so ridiculously frustrating... You're forced to trust the good will of others, but in an online game with such anonyminity, there isn't any. You would almost have better luck to just take out the NQ malboro and hope for the best.

Yeah, (although I don't know about the time) it's the NM that spawns after Rose Garden has been unmolested for several hours. Almost never happens.

Does Vilma's ring have a hidden effect? Because if it doesn't then it's not really worth the time for those stats.

But then again I use equip macros for everything so I never have the same piece of gear equiped for long.

Now, the Vivian ring... that's something
