I've noticed most players seem to be in their late teens, to anywhere in there twenties, but like TGM pointed out, there are exceptions to every rule. Btw, she has Methusalah (sp?) beat.

I know (hope?) you guys are joking, but you do know TGM doesn't have to be that old to be a grandparent, right? My mother is a grandmother of three (6, 4, and 3) and she's only 48.

Although if she admits to having Methuselah beat, well...

I'm 26, and I have daughters of 4, 2, and 3 months. My mother is 46, so I'd agree. Grandparent does not necessarily equate to old.

I'm 23, 24 in just a week.

I've been a gamer for as long as I can remember. I've played Atari and Intellivision, but quickly switched over to the NES when it was released. I'm quite the Nintendo fanboy, only purchasing a Playstation when all the RPG makers jumped ship after FF7 was such a success, and supporting Sega until the Sega CD died, then supporting the Dreamcast (I thought it'd last, unlike the Saturn and 32X).

This is my first serious MMORPG (I played briefly, but didn't enjoy Diablo 2 online). I never liked what I saw of the 'other' MMORPGs, because... I dunno, I guess I've played too many Japanese Console RPGs to like the style, you know? Most Computer RPGs have the elves with the cheekbones so high you can slice a tomato off of them? Skin stretched so tight, it looks like their skulls are about to burst? Men that always look like they're 300 lbs (in muscle of course) heavier than the stockiest of the women characters? Finally, the color schemes are always, ALWAYS, either the 'brown and black' oh noes the Darky Mcdarkness will swallow us all, hopeless macabre darkness style, or "PRIMARY COLORS! = YES!" .

So when FFXI came around, I was excited. Final Fantasy games are always a plus with me. I could pick what, in my console gamer mind, was a normal looking character. Finally, the color scheme. Final Fantasy has actual every day colors, you know? It's not 'suck your happiness from your very marrow' dingy brown and blacks, and it's not 'WE ONLY HAVE 16 COLORS!" bright either. It's a more realistic, down to earth set. The storyline's good, and I'm overall happy playing ^^

I'm enjoying myself, and hope to do so for a few more years too!

Yeah, I'm joking. I just cant hardly resist not giving TGM a hard time. (and I think she knows it too)
Actually, if I were normal I'd be a parent and my parents would be grandparents. (That and I've seen pictures of TGM) So I know she's really not old at all. I think she's actually roughly my mom's age.

Physically, 22. Mentally, about 35.

LS's average physical age is about 20. Mental: 16. To say the least, I don't get along to well with them.

When I played UO at 16, I was always called "Old Man". Once, someone mistook me for being in my 40s.

Only 15 here. In a way I'm glad I'm so young, for I still got quite a future ahead of me. But I also wish I was a bit older, especially so I could actually embark on a carrer. This is my third MMORPG and I'm loving every second of it!

19 here, been playing MMOs since I was.. 14 or 15. FFXI isn't the one with the most playtime yet though

This is my first MMO, and I started about 15 months ago.

Your not missing much on the cigs and drinking isn't near as fun once you no longer have to roadtrip to Canada to do it legally. ^_^
