That may be true, but certainly not the oldest in the game.

When I used to be in the Caitsith server, I was partying with a girl in Qufim Island.
After a while, the WAR disbanded, and the girl asked me, "Do you mind if my dad joins? He's also a WAR."

"Sure," I said.

Then I started thinking, so I proceded to ask her...

"Just curious, how old are you?"

She says, "I'm 29."

"Wait, you're 31? How old is your dad?"

"He's 62."

Whoah... heh...


Anywho, as for me, I just turned 27 early May.

I'm 17, I'll be 18 next month...

Move to UK - its all legal at 18 (well apart from standing as a member of parliament but bleh...)

...and I think I'll be moving to the UK now.



[e d i t] Oh yea, I also know a guy on my server who's over 50. He has 2 kids that play, one teenage and one in thier 20s. He doesn't really even bother 'playing'. He camps NMs and farms gil all day and gives large sums of gil to his kids so they can skip the more difficult aspects of the game. Lucky asses.

My LS seems to be mid to late 20's mostly. Though My roomate is in hear early 50's and she plays pretty much any time she's not at work.

I am 15. Been playing MMORPGs since I was 10. An EQ Vet, I am usually in and out of MMORPGs. Started playin this the Christmas it came out, but then stopped. Just picked it back up about 3 weeks ago and have been loving it.

I'm 20 and I've been playing video games since I was 6 years old or something. I never really understood what's so fascinating about the streets that attract a lot of teenagers in the evenings.

Peer Pressure and the "need (want)" to fit in..
People take me as I am, i've never conformed to peer pressure or did things because I was goaded into it. If I dont wanna do it I dont.Period. Besides the Streets aint shiza.. Get some friends together have a video game session, or have a cookout, or shoot ball in the yard, go fishin, bikin, joggin, exporin nature..etc.. So many things to do that doesnt involve getting in trouble it's sick.

That is unless a bear tackles you while explorin nature... then it's pretty much a wrap for ya ^^

I'm 28 and this is my first MORPG.
Since my early teans I've been a gamer in D&D AD&D, Call of Cuthulu, Vampire the Masquerade, Werewolf, and Mage. (Pen and paper gaming to answer the what are those questions :+D )

( wow 1025 yrs of experience) divided by 39 = 26.2


it just still amazes me that since this game is so time consuming that so many youngers ones play it and are very commited to playing it..

I'm 19, most of my online friends are 20-23. My HNMLS leader is 31. A Japanese guy in my linkshell is close to 28. We don't let in people who are under 17, lol.

I think that like in IRL, the "kiddies" and the adults in this game will band together. I've seen my share of immature groups of people. I hate when you get into the parties with them, and they actually say "boobies". A buddy of mine and I were in a Manaburn, the three other BLMs, and the BRD were a group of IRL friend, who were about 13-14 years old. They were trying to brag over how much of a ladies man they were. The conversation was like....

(BLM1) OMG dude, I so totally made out with <girlfriend's name> here last time, I'm 10x the pimp any of you guys are.
(BLM2) STFU dude, I got to grab <his girlfriend's> boobies (yes, he said boobies, I almost pissed myself laughing) last night.
(BRD) Pfft, yeah right.

My advice, if you want to shut kids up under 16, find what they're talking about, and just totally own them in the conversation. Because for some reason, kids younger than 16 years old, are like machines. Get them stuck in a loop, and they'll go on forever, until something disrupts the behaviour. ;o

16 here. I was surprised when I started asking others ages. I'm second youngest in my LS. But I'm glad really, because most of my age group is rather immature.
