I'm 19, most of my online friends are 20-23. My HNMLS leader is 31. A Japanese guy in my linkshell is close to 28. We don't let in people who are under 17, lol.

I think that like in IRL, the "kiddies" and the adults in this game will band together. I've seen my share of immature groups of people. I hate when you get into the parties with them, and they actually say "boobies". A buddy of mine and I were in a Manaburn, the three other BLMs, and the BRD were a group of IRL friend, who were about 13-14 years old. They were trying to brag over how much of a ladies man they were. The conversation was like....

(BLM1) OMG dude, I so totally made out with <girlfriend's name> here last time, I'm 10x the pimp any of you guys are.
(BLM2) STFU dude, I got to grab <his girlfriend's> boobies (yes, he said boobies, I almost pissed myself laughing) last night.
(BRD) Pfft, yeah right.

My advice, if you want to shut kids up under 16, find what they're talking about, and just totally own them in the conversation. Because for some reason, kids younger than 16 years old, are like machines. Get them stuck in a loop, and they'll go on forever, until something disrupts the behaviour. ;o

LOL - No really... I bust out laughing when I read that. Seems like lately that exactly the sort of people I've ended up in parties with. Heck, just the other day I got a pearl for a social LS I was really jazzed about, I put it on and the first word I saw was "boobies"... tossed out the pearl because the conversation just went downhill from there.

Most people I know are either a few years out of uni, or around high school. There's a few older and younger, but not too many.

I am 34 and just started playing this game a month ago. In fact, it is my first MMORPG and probably my second RPG ever. I am a classic Sports and Cars type gamer.

I like this game for the depth, and see it as a journey. Many of my friends and primary LS members treat it like a destination. I play frequently with a friend who is less than half my age. For them, it is a race to 75. For me, I want to have 8 jobs at lvl 10 and 5 at lvl 20 before I decide what I want to be when I grow up. I think that is part of the allure of the game, you can play it anyway you want.

I do laugh when someone I was in Valkurm with walks buy with a lvl 40 character and I am still at 22, but so what. I am having fun doing it my way.
To that end, I started a linkshell on Midgard called GetOffMyLawn. Never got anywhere, probably because I didn't /SHOUT enough, or at all for that matter. The theory was a social group of older (arbitrarily set at over 30) gamers. But it got hot. I got caught up in work. Something came up. Whatever.

Im 17, my bros 21, i have a few friends that are younger, alot of my friends are about my age. And i know a handful of people in their 20s-30s

My third anniversary with FFXI would be at the end of this year, but unfortunately I took off some time in the middle to play other MMOs so it's not a real three year stretch. :/

I am a pretty new person to the game and this page but i love it...(i can only play the game on certain days)I have a Hume job is Ninja and im level 8
i am 15 years old this year......

my sister plays shes 18.......Elvan named Valeskaa lv 8

my father plays this and im pretty sure hes like 44....he has 2 chars a Galka named Muledaug idk level and a hume named Hautdaug level in the 20's

I will be 44 in September and don't show any signs of not playing..My son is 20 and he only plays only Madden of fighting games every now and then.
