Ultimate Weapon?

Hello all,



I wanted to know if there is any definite ultimate weapon, as in the most strength. Also, do weapons such as Excalibur, Masamune, or the Ultima Weapon make an appearance in Final Fantasy XI? Thanks.

Omega and Ultima both make an appearance. As do several other FF notables. Bahamut and Tiamat. Cerberus. Alexander, Odin, Pheonix. Some are allies. Some are enemies. Some are both.

Excalibur is in the game, and has an effect similar to the Ultima Weapon in other FF games, factoring your HP into your attack power. Because of that effect, I guess it might be the most powerful weapon in the game from a damage standpoint.

Ultima Weapon is in the game as a biotechnological weapon, sortof like Atmaweapon in FF6 and the monster versions of Ultima and Omega weapon in FF7 and 8.

I don't think there's a masamune.

No masamune, but there is murasame.

Also, each job gets a relic weapon at 75, which is the weakest weapons in the game.
After spending an absrud, not even 10% worth it amount of gil though, you get the strongest weapon in the game for your job.

Excalibur is one of these, as is Ragnarock and Gunigir.

Pretty sure masamune is in the .dat files it just has never been released into the game.

Dunno how believable it is since it was obtained through auto-collection. It's rather lack luster if it is in the files but not in game but oh well.

Most relics indeed do take a large amount of gil, time, effort to obtain but many are rather nice. The cost insures that not everyone will obtain one since it is considered a "one of a kind" type of weapon...although many, including myself, believe it costs a little too freaking much.

Yea, Masamune is in the DAT files but S-E doesnt have any plans to release it soon from what I hear. It's just a placeholder for another item if they decide to toss it in there.

Let's assume there was an "ultimate weapon". Let's make it a sword. It does infinity damage, has a 0 delay, and is a L1 weapon.

Monks cannot equip swords.

Is this ultramagasuper sword an ultimate weapon for a monk?

i wish we had the ultima weapon from ffix for thf.. heh

but there are the relic ones... thats pretty much all I know..
course holding the best weapon for your job, doesnt mean it will be the strongest
still have to have the skills and such
