4) People who just can't assimilate and respect the fact that other players may not like being checked, or the fact that they can use the Bazaar function in whatever way they feel like it.

A simple thing you people who hate being checked can do!

1. Go to chat filter
2. Turn off check comment

Good job! Now nobody will ever check you ever again!

Seriously though, I have no sympathy for people who get aggrevated from people checking them 10 times. There are chat filters there for a reason. Everyone doesn't like to see the word "Fuck" on their screen yet they gripe and complain whenever they see it in a shout. Wow! There's a chat filter there for a reason.

Nah, there's a huge difference between getting checked and being harrassed with /checks. I personally don't care, but I can understand when people gets mad about it.

What really pisses me off are childish players that after being told to stop they just do it more instead, like a 5 year olds seeking attention. If you are told to stop checking then just stop, is that simple.

It's a matter of respect really, turning the filter on would prevent players from watching all /check comments, so unless the /blist includes a /check filter then not many players will turn such filter on.

Why turn the filter on when you only want to ignore one or two retards out of the whole server population? /blist should have a /check block function too.

I suppose. I just personally don't see the case where I would want to be checked in the first place, so I have my check filter on >.>;

Until SE gives us a larger or more customizable chat box, I will have nearly everything filtered. So yeah, no checks for me.

The post says what's your pet peeve in FFXI, and I posted it. I never said that I didn't like the game. I was only giving my peeves... as everyone before me in this post did. If voicing my opinion in this post pisses people off i'm sorry as it was not the true intention. When someone askes what the peeves are and you respond I figured it was just a long compliation of people's peeves as a way to get them on the table and in a way vent.

As someone asked before why I still play.... because I figured that sometime.. somehow there could possibly someone out there to party with and try to build my character. Bad parties are one thing.. but when you get 8 out of the 10 times you join a party it gets to be a bit much.

Why was my post singled out to be one that people decided to ask why I even play the game, etc. etc.?

Anyway.. I'm sure since that other post ruffled peoples feathers that this one will to.

It didn't ruffle any feathers or piss anyone off. Two of us basically said we felt you needed to lighten up a bit, that was about it. I'm not criticising you for having dislikes about the game. Everyone has them to some degree. You just seemed to me to have a lot more issues with the game then most. Like I said, my curiosity was piqued as to what positives kept drawing you back.

I love the fact that you can begin playing the game and glance at the clock and notice you've been playing for 4 hours without realizing it.

I like being able to go <i> almost</i> anywhere in the game no matter what level and as long as you are careful.

And I like when you actually get into a good party where people don't have a coronary when you don't understand something and they show you. Those are the most rare though.

The only thing I HATE is when someone tells me how to do my job.... if I got to 75 by exp pts I should know how to do my job and don't need your sorry ass telling me how to do it... simple as that, if my exp pts were that dumb to tell me what I was doing wrong then you can yell at them not me

Being 75 doesn't make you a better player. It can help, but if experience has taught me anything it's that any moron can make it to 75 with little effort, especially if they are playing a princess job.

I just was told though that I should use string instead of horn because it has farther range and forget the my other horns... they just talked to me as if I knew nothing at all so I got mad....

First off, for some reason it was hard for me to find a party on blm for about 15 levels, so I tried to make the parties. And I cannot stand people that are seeking not respond to you at all, either by ignoring you or going afk. I hate getting a full party together then every tank ignores me!
