Actually, I just thought of one. It's not an FFXI peeve, but a forum peeve.

Contrary to poular belief, it is not a word! It is the bastard hybrid of "dramatically" and "drastically." You cannot combine them to try and form a new super word.

I've seen it used in many instances.

"I finally got X item. I went to sell it and I found that it dramastically dropped in price."

The word here should be drastically. There was no drama involved in the price dropping. It's not like the previous sellers shouted in Lower Jeuno that the world was ending and that they were planning to sell their Morion Tathlums for cheap so they can get off of the planet before it explodes. That would be dramatic. Silly, but dramatic.

"Y player dropped his pearl today after whining about nobody helping him and accusing half the linkshell of RMT. I'm not surprised that he quit the linkshell so dramastically."

No, he quit the linkshell dramatically. He put on a little show for everyone to see, hoping to get sympathy and possibly some butt-kissers. Varying degrees of quitting do not exist, there is only "I quit" and "I do not quit." You can, however, be promoted drastically.

Please use real words and not silly, made-up, hybrid words.

I used to have a friend at work who "redonkulous" as like a second tier of ridiculous. Superlatively ridiculous things were "redonkulakong." That always cracked me up, as did the made up words above. ^^

3. People who think you suck because you messed up one time. I'm good at my job, but I'm human and I do screw up. Sometimes I might Refresh in the wrong order because I'm caught off guard or whatever. Maybe I accidentally hit my Bio macro (>.<), Perhaps I miss the MB (although more often than not I am too busy to bother with it anymore). Just because I made one little mistake that
a. didn't cost anyone's life, and
b. probably won't happen again
does not mean that I am a crappy RDM, or any other job for that matter.

This is true, but I also see the opposite: RDMs who, an hour into the party, still don't realize that the Hobgoblin Fascinator/Spartoi Sorcerer/Kindred Black Mage
a. usually comes to the fight with Ice Spikes already on
b. needs to be silenced before he KILLS US ALL
and that a vermilion cloak and dark staff are really not the most appropriate gear for casting Silence on an IT.

I'm hard on RDMs because I *am* a RDM. It's a complex, technical, demanding job and only gets more so as you level up. But that isn't a license to be half-assed. If you're not going to put in the effort to do it well, don't do it at all. If you want a simpler job, there are several in the game.

That only applies to people who screw up repeatedly or in a way that seems impossible to do by accident (casting Tornado with your Ice Staff on), though. Everyone does make occasional slipups, even really dangerous ones like hitting your Poison macro on that add instead of your Sleep macro.

People who shout for raises in newbie zones (Gustaberg, Ronfaure, Sarutabaruta) for their level 5 BLM. Just respawn, bitches!

I love this one, it's even better when they die like 10 feet out of the front gate, in the time it took to send me a tell, they could've respawned and been back where they fell.

But it brings me to one of mine:
1. People who don't bother finding out if you can actually cast a spell before harassing you about it.

2. Random people who want me to Raise them somewhere that's almost certain death to anyone dumb enough to run in there and try it. Like Ro'Maeve, Ifrit's Cauldron, Those wonderful NM camps in Ve'Legunon Palace, Gustav Tunnel at the back of the wyvern/undead tunnels... It's the world's slowest casting spell, and I'm not made of stoneskin.

13.Rdms who say, you dont get refresh because you have auto-refresh.

Welcome to almost every party my SMN has ever had to main heal in past 60, and people wonder why I'd rather solo?

Over hunting. I don't care if that one mob gave us 200 exp, it took 5 minutes to kill it. I should NOT be able to use Warcry twice in one fight. Low IT - VT mobs only plz.

God, I hate that one too. Remember when we used to chain hordes of Toughs and Very Toughs and run areas completely out of mobs? Chain 6 used to be something you could get pretty easily outside of TAU. Now I'm in parties where Snipers +1s, Sushi, and Ochi's Kote are standard melee gear and it still takes us to chain 3 if we're lucky. Gee, Sherlock, ya think this stuff is too hard for us, maybe? You shouldn't need your HNM gear for a friggin' exp mob.

It makes me crazy. I mean, maybe I silently seethe as those around me butcher the English language, but I don't say anything to them about it. Stop poking fun at me because I type in proper sentences and actually bother to use capitalization!

Sometimes I'd like to reinact http://www.vgcats.com/comics/?strip_id=171 in game. I think it'd make a good, if huge, signature.

Also, I'm not trying to dig at Murphie, just remind myself who he is if I ever go back through this thread and read the replies again. It's confusing enough when we all start changing our names around.

As RDM, people who yell at me to refresh them, even though they're a BLM or DRK or something that's not high up on my list of people that need refresh, especially when I don't have enough MP to cast it and Convert isn't up yet.. Then they go "well it's your JOB to give me refresh!!" .. yeah, when they have 500 MP left

I'm sorry, but the only people I actively Refresh:
Me, PLD, WHM(or main healer)

I'll only refresh anyone else when they're low on MP, or if I have some time to spare (rare as RDM), especially with a lot of other casters in the party.

I agree. It might be a bitch and a half to get every mage in a party refreshed, (especially when there's a PLD, WHM, BLM, DRK, and yourself in the party), but everyone does deserve to get refresh, after all, that's what you were invited for, as much as it sucks. ; ;

yeah had a nin yesterday who'd start casting ninja tools instead of provoking so rng would get hit up for quite awhile. I told him plz provoke as soon as the mob came to camp and he says to me "I know what I'm doing and I'm at work so deal with it" LOL I managed to keep sata'ing while eating a cup of ramen and dual boxing. How hard was it to provoke?

Yeah, I everyone gets my refresh at one time or another, but when they think they should get it ALL THE TIME, even though I'm down to 30 or so MP and they have 400. When they're low on MP (200-300, depending on job), I pass them a refresh, but it's nearly impossible to get everyone.
