As someone getting ready to be new to the game, i sure hope you aren't so rude in game. Not all new people are rude and/or impatient or impractical.

Heck, i'm getting ready to go into the game knowing next to nothing, about locations or anything, so someone like me might ask, not knowing how far away things are.. I would hope you are somewhat patient.

Most people are more than happy to answer questions. Certain others will just ignore you, and then there are those who will insult you and call you a noob. Just ignore those folks.

I'm used to being called names. I just read her post out of context I guess. It happens, and she has offered to help if i find my way to unicorn(I still have no idea where we are going to play). I just sit here and re-read my little book that came in the box, waiting for the day that this house thing is finished so i can install and play. :D :D :D

Being forced to interact and communicate with people, whom you would otherwise have nothing to do with.
Said people having considerably more power in the community than you, despite having marginal skill and significant personality defects.

Ya we tend to vent our frustartiosn here on teh forums rahter in the game. the years of stress cased by people that don't want help can really add up. then again taht is what [Gm] Dave's blog is for

I honestly believe this is one of the most annoying kaomoji (Face symbols) there is ---===***When used for EVERYTHING***===--- (I don't mind it once or twice when it's deserved)

Example!

PlayerA- Why aren't you wearing X?
Me - I don't own X
PlayerA- >_> ...

PlayerA- I like pie
Me - I prefer Ice cream
PlayerA- >_> ...

PlayerA- 2+2 = 5
Me - Only for very large quantities of 2
PlayerA- >_> ...

I mean honestly.... I can understand >_< , but how do you get the one eye to go the other way...? It looks painful. Anyway, if I make a terrible pun, yeah okay, fine. It's just like using lol at the end of a sentence though (also a pet peeve). I'm annoying you that much?

2) Every time I have a status effect that doesn't let me rest (PLD), the status effect waits until the exact moment I request the status cure to wear off. Then the mage casts the cure, it says it has no effect, and I look like a big jerk who can't read his status bar

3) People who use the excuse, often with lols at one or both ends of the sentence, "It's only a game lols," as a defense for absolute stupid behaviour.

I'm not speaking of "Chill out man, it's only a game" if I lose claim on an NM or fail a mission or something, and I'm furious. That's all good, it's a game, we can try whatever we're doing again later, good try everybody! If you're a new player, didn't know any better, that's fine also, it happens, it's really no biggie.

But when people just do stupid stuff like run straight into an enemy ON PURPOSE, use benediction at full HP between fights because 'they're bored...' , You know, that kind of thing, and then defend themselves with 'lol y so mad, its only a game.' Yes it is only a game, but you're costing your party valuable resources like time and overall effectiveness, things people desire to use wisely.

4) Silence. I'm sure almost everybody's experienced it.

'Hey guys, where do ya wanna go camp?'
-Silence-

'Hey, anyone in the LS wanna EXP?'
'Sure! Need a PLD?'
-Silence-
*A short time later*
'So, were we gonna go Exp then?"
'Oh yeah totally!'
'Where?'
-........-

'There's none of X job seeking, but there's a Y job looking for group. What do you all think?'
-Nothing-

Oftentimes, then the person asking the questions says something like 'Okay, we'll camp at X place' , or 'Okay, I invited that person' , and THEN the deluge of 'I hate that place' 'I don't want that job' starts... Oi.

5) People who think Paladins can't do anything right.

I know there're Paladin lovers out there, and for that, I thank you. It gets tiring though, being passed up for missions (ninjas tank it better/PLD can't tank it!), getting few invites for ToAU areas, because you don't need tanks there...

Just the other day, I was asked (74 PLD) to help tank the Sandoria Mission on Horlais Peak with the orcs and the warmachines. Almost immediately after I agree, he says "Well, I want to invite you because you're a PLD, but my party unanimously wants a Ninja, so I'm outnumbered, sorry."

A week or so ago, I was skilling up Greatsword on Lesser Colibri just outside in Wajoam Woodlands, packing my Joyeuse, Tatami Shield, and Herc Ring for when I need to finally take it down, when a mage runs up to me, starts curing me, and /tells me "Why did you attack it?!?!? It's much too strong for you!" ... I actually felt like using >_> for a second there (Oi!) , but I explained to him instead that I soloed Colibri for the last 6000 exp to level to 74. I don't think he believed me.

Also just the other day, I learned my RL friend was doing an Assault. I said 'got any room for me?' , to which he replied "Are you a Monk or a BLM?" ... He KNOWs I'm neither (We KNOW each other!)... come on, It's not like I'm trying to poison your whole attempt here

6) Inviting me into the party, then making me leader and going AFK (The non-emergency kind of AFK).

I'm sorry, I don't want to be the leader, that's why I had my seek flag up.

7) People who create a party, then say something to the effect of "Okay, I'll be right back, I just have to drive over to Party-Member-B's house, to which Party-Member-B goes "Yeah, shouldn't take more than 10-20 minutes, tops." , then sure enough, he logs out, and we're waiting for 20 minutes for him to log on again.

Um? ... Why do you... when you were logged on right... huh?! This is NOT an isolated one-time only thing either! It's happened a few times to my memory.

I always took it mean either rolling your eyes, or I've used it in sequence of:

Vowels, consonants and punctuation were all created for a reason. I choose to use them, you do not. That is fine and dandy, but I don't nit-pick your poor grammar or syntax. Leave my proper grammar and syntax alone.

It makes me crazy. I mean, maybe I silently seethe as those around me butcher the English language, but I don't say anything to them about it. Stop poking fun at me because I type in proper sentences and actually bother to use capitalization!

Craft? In the Sanctuary? Yeeeeees. Its pretty with nice music!
They made this huge, full and lively world for us to breathe life into, quit your whining about peeves and idiots (cause they just aren't going away, y'know!) and go enjoy the view, go snag some ladies and go to the hot springs, h*ll, tell your whole ls!

Or if you are feeling REALLY lively go outside... real LIFE outside! Sunlight might do you some good!
And no, I'm not saying all you are overwieght pale teens in their parents basement, but you can NEVER have too much excercise and sunlight!

People who can't stop for a moment and go explore Vana'diel. Thats what all those artists and deseigners worked on! Let's go out and enjoy it. Yes I'd rather go relax and craft in Sanctuary of Zi'Tah than level with idiots for 5 hours on end.

But Kitty, you have to understand that for some people grinding away IS fun. Even I have my days where I just want to go out there for 5 hours and exp, exp, exp! Other days, not so much! But it never gives anyone the right to think they are better than you just because they like the grind and get a higher lvl than you. Everyone is unique and that is why there are different things to do in game, something for everyone! Enjoy Vana'diel!

That's another pet peeve of mine! I wish the game manual for the X-Box 360 explained a few things better. They go into little detail of some of the more important points that you would need to start out intelligently in this game.

This is coming from a true "nooblet".
