6: Kinda a peeve (but a chuckle too).

Mage types that run into melee distance when I'm trying to SATA onto the tank. Especially at the start of a fight.

A high damage SATA will cause enough hate at the start of the fight to kill you. No really... Mages are squishy. Really really squishy.

It is however vastly hilarious when it happens and they run away... and the mob chases them off.

Barfira, Earthen Ward, Aerial Armour is all nice and shiny - but not in front of the Thief. At least if you don't want the ire of a really ticked off monster.

14) People who get annoyed if you are having fun in the pt. I'm not talking about fun at the expense of doing your job well either, I'm just talking about friendly banter and such when you have time for it. You'll get somone that goes {Focus}! on occasion just for having a chat with someone. If the pt is running smoothly, the exp is flowing, and all is well in Vana'diel, there is nothing wrong with talking to your fellow pt members.

I'm so with you on this one. Sometimes the only thing keeping me sane in an exp grind party is some fun and friendly banter. Most of the time no one gets my sense of humor though, so we all end up sitting quietly except for SC announcements.

Things that piss me off.
#1 Leaders who don't listen to stratedy ideas then blame me when the team fails at the mission. (This happened to me just the other day in Holla prom, I then got my own team that listened and we won back to back proms. But seriously, leaders who only listen to themselves and don't really know what they are doing just piss me off when the get all pissy when the imminent failure happerns due to crappers strategy.

#2 Players who decide to pick on you in a experience party just because your the only non-ls member in the team, so a team up ensues, and im forced to ruin the party by D2ing people. (This happened once, but trust me, they deserved it)

#3 Black Mages the D2 people in the team, thus ruining the parts over something extremely small and overlookable. (It was the leader that did the warping too, big dissapoint, guy wasnt being picked on, teamed up on, name called, or any thing that piled up can should lead to D2age, and even if a blm gets picked on, unless it the entire team being very mean for no reason, D2 should not be used in this way) I felt bad when I did it once but I declare that ls was a bunch of shmoes I don't see around anymore.

#4 Crass and rude language in the game. It's really uneccesary to trash someone cuz they are newer then you and know less about the game mechanics, help a guy out, but kindly please.

#5 low lvl elitists that treat anybody like garbage just cuz they invited you and/or have a missconception of leading a party of any kind.

Things that annoy me

#1 peeps that think you checking them is some kind of crime, the way they act when you check them out. Especially in the field when camping or whatever.

#2 peeps that are rude to you when you come to camp what they are camping, really, I pay the fees too, we can all play the same game. Im happy to move on actually. There are many other things to do in the game, if someone is already there I don't see any problem moving along to somehting else, the rudeness is uneccesary. Especially over petty shit like elementals, I mean , really.

#3 dynamis leaders that horde the currency, c'mon, share some with the rest of us, I know that stuff is expensive, atleast show or tell me what your making. I'd be happy to share in on the cost of a run to get some currency without it coming down to paying Bazaar price, which is out of the question.

#4 Lame lotting rules for HNMLS that make it so you got to wait months of "point" gathering till you can finally lot anything while most of the group has some kind of monopoly on points. Or ones where only certain mages can lot certain Z gear.

#5 Purposefully assholish leaders and everybody taking it. Helloooo, <revolt>

#6 peeps that don't have the balls just to say, "I gotta go, I have stuff to do", and opt to DC themselves. Now i cant prove that anyone ever DCs just to avoid saying "I gotta go", but it just seems that way sometimes. I could easily be wrong about this, I just bet thats what many of those stragely timed DCs have been about over the years of playing.

#7 Finagaling mercenaries

#8 Low maturity lvls, nuff said.

I could go on with this for a little bit longer, but I think I have said enouph about my negative experiences in playing. Throughout all of my playing hours, the negative ones make up about .01% off all the experiences I have ever had in game.

I could go on forever about the awesome experiences, great people met, Kick ass leaders and LS's that Ive been alligned with and what not. Let along the great feeling of getting an AF2 of any Uber gear. Lets not forget how good it is to take down a huge mob solo, or finding a great xp party that rakes it in with everyone getting along like cake. Lets not forget those nice peeps that actually take time just to help people that are lower in the game to give them a much needed boost, or anyone at all that takes time to do stuff that is not in anyway about self gain. Also the LS's that are "friend" based, this actually exists cause people are cool and you can make friends out of people you never really see, I've found.

The things that piss me off are many and i have only really started palying three weeks ago x.x

1.) The change in prices at the auction house. Up and down >< just gets me angry!

2.) people who don't even know what the job their job is supposed to do! Like a Paladin that thinks he is a DD/Support class.... That was a bad party >>

3.) People who are as big as noobs as me or bigger but put up mentor right when they hit 30.

To lazy to list more but you can see where im going.

2) Missing armor/spells/food etc. No one is gonna boot you out of the party for not having +1 gear... but at least wear SOMETHING and keep your spells updated..

3) People who take literally HOURS to finally start doing something that was planned.

There's more but those are my basic ones.

1) Nobody plays tanks anymore. We can have an entire party built, and a good one to boot, but we have to sit for ninety minutes while we wait for a tank to seek, or find one willing to party without seek up, or willing to leave a crappy party.

My personal record has been five days with flag up without a single tell. Of course - sometimes I get invites while I'll be camping NM's or farming.. but that's just the way things work. Raised flag for Thf = {Invite to join party} {secret} -1. ><

Slapping/stupid emotes. For no reason. If you're going to emote slapping someone for no reason at all, don't /cry when someone /slaps back. That just makes you look stupid.

Also.. don't emote sexual things... had a party in the dunes where the mithra was emoting /snuggles up to you.

Yes, I have played THF. I'm talking about when someone puts up their seek flag, and wanders away from the computer/PS2/XBOX for hours doing everything else while you're trying to invite them for a party. If you're not gonna be around to play, turn off your flag. I understand falling asleep accidentally, but if you're gonna be falling asleep, turn off FFXI and go to bed.

1) people complaining about a r1 when i'm a rdm and i'm the only mage in the pty or thew only other one in the pty is a blm.

2) peple that think Ninja is the l33t tank. GERT IT THERW YOUR HEADS. Se stated that Ninja was never ever ment to be a tank. why do you htink they keep nerfing it and make it hard to hold hate.

3) when i'm on smn the rdm bitches that i'm subbing blm and should sub whm so he can melee and i main heal. I sub what i want its not your job to tell me what i sub which brings me too #4

4) Never ask me for a certain spell when i'm casting it on someone else or another one. you ask for anything i'll warn you not to ask me. You do it again i don't care if your the tank I'll not heal you Don't tell me how to do my job.

5) War/whms i belive that speaks for its self.

6) Maat. Again this speaks for it self

7) People that camp nms just because they need gil and you trying to help someone that needs the item and have teh nerve to tell you to go farm the gill. You are camping it for gill and you have to nerve to tell me to go farm. We need it you just want gil You go farm.

8) while on whm people ask me to leave my pty to join their pty.

9) poeple ask me to r3 them when i'm only lvl 66. Its a lvl 70 spell smart ones.

Well, as much as I'm a PLD fan, I have to say that NIN has proven to be a very viable and useful tanking class, regardless of original intent. I think it's time to let go of the "we didn't mean it to be a tank" thing.

And people camping an NM for gil have just as much right to be there as someone who just wants the item. That's how things work. Either you beat them to the claim, or you save up enough gil to buy the item. Maybe not an ideal system, but that's the game we're playing.

As someone getting ready to be new to the game, i sure hope you aren't so rude in game. Not all new people are rude and/or impatient or impractical.

Heck, i'm getting ready to go into the game knowing next to nothing, about locations or anything, so someone like me might ask, not knowing how far away things are.. I would hope you are somewhat patient.

i'm a nice kitty in game and i love to help out lowbies. in fact i just spent my entier day instead of lvling my 66 whm like plans my friend started playing today so i changed to my lvl 1 cor and spent all day lvling with her. got up to lvl 10. heck i even give some people 1k to help start em off if they don't beg me for gil.
