I guess I just need to learn how to pin, but I'm just really bad at it and every time I try I find it utterly discouraging.

i cant pin for the life of me. only success NM i'd pin well enough was copper Borer (in halvung).
And even that guy i messed up a few times.

If you don’t know who Tefent is, he’s an Abyssea NM that is popped with a Shocking whisker and he drops a Smooth Whisker.

It's 85 and a Goading Belt. But none of that gear changed all night. I just hate seeing terribad RDM melee in action. Having poor or mediocre gear is one thing, full timing a mixed set is grounds for punching someone in the face. Dude was dipping into red HP pretty often while fighting exp mobs while I'm off pulling them 5+ at a time and hardly ever dipping into yellow. Watching people half-ass my favorite job just drives me up the wall.

Selective screenshot posting of course. The stars were probably in alignment for this WS: all hits, all criticals, and all double attacks. But I think it's a nice idea for what numbers RDM's ought to be able to pull off.

I know I don't come across as very supportive of Red Mage melee, but I'm not actually against it and I recognize that it can put up some pretty good numbers when someone who knows what the hell they're doing is at the helm.

What irks me most is when people half-ass it. I mean really, a bunch of MND gear, Moldavite and Loquacious earring? Evasion torque? Full-timed? Really? What am I supposed to make of someone who gears themselves like that and somehow managed to get themselves an Almace? They're awful and they're making Red Mage look bad.

I"m doubting he made the Almace for his Rdm. Maybe he's got a decent Blu or Pld (or whatever other job can use it)?

the guy is 96 and in what looks to be an exp party. Probably burning Rdm up for whatever reason and didnt bother with macros. Hell i did that with WAR for a while.

Well not entirely. I got all my +1 and most +2s for War on my bst before hand...so i can level up and put it on. But i only made a couple macros. couple of JA ones and some WS ones. none with involved gear swapping. Didnt change much in Xp parties. Once i hit 99 though I started getting better gear i tweaked my macros.

Eh, I don't particularly care whether someone is for or against anymore. I always just got warm inside when a mob would go from full to nothing, and 4-5 people start checking me. Just kind of puts things in perspective of what other full leveled damage dealers at that level should be capable of doing AT LEAST. Alas, I was in a party with a MNK who wet himself over 2K Shijin Spirals. Or whatever it was called.

Oh...and Ruby Rage.

lol at Ruby Rage. That's just all kinds of funny. People who rage over ruby are generally the bottom of the barrel.

I wish I was one-shotting things with my Dragoon. The averages for Drakesbane that come in from my parses are usually a little over 2.5k and I've only ever spiked over 6k once. I really don't have a sense for how I'm doing since I never turn off chat filters for other people's damage. It's both a blessing and a curse. It means I don't get all worked up over my numbers and start acting all smug, but it also means I have no idea how far behind everyone else I might be, so I just have to focus on improving to beat my own high scores as it were.

Those prices aren't terribly expensive. I think you're just poor since you aren't liquidating cruor like everyone else is.

Honestly, I was expecting to pay more along the lines of 10-20k; a couple of months ago, all Enspells II were right in that range (and a couple still are).

Anyway, I'm not sure if I'm exactly "poor," but a more significant portion of my funds than I would like will likely be going to the next E. Sword that goes on auction.

Too many fucking people in Dynamis. I spent an hour in there and have 7 pieces of currency to show for it because there's just too damn many people in there competing for mobs.

I miss old Dynamis. It could be horrendous, but at least you got the zone all to yourself.

Valk is great but good luck ever finding an empty time frame.
Quf sucks. Most camps are far apart

I’m starting to like bubur the best.
Rabbit & Mandies, then Scorpions and crabs, then Ravens or Crawlers. All of which are close to each other.

Even some EP JA-type Yads are nearby too.
